UKIP=BNP=EDL=ALL ONE IN THE SAME

"Is it now a reality we cannot voice our opinions on the rubbish we see and hear today without being labelled racist. I thought we all had human rights, but it seems only for some."

Never a truer word spoken, and the answer is yes because the left has always used branding opponents over reasoned argument.
They claim the working class when its the workers who are seeing their hard fought for wages and condition's undercut by mass immigration, they are the ones most likely to need the council houses that are given away to these new arrivals over people who have been on waiting lists for years.
Yet let them dare object if only on the grounds of natural justice and out comes the charges of "Racist".

In one way its a good thing that the lefties have turned their attention to UKIP, it means they are afraid of them, and thats got to be a good reason to give them your vote.

This is completely wrong, unsurprisingly. UKIP are not gaining ground at the expense of Labour. They are gaining ground at the expense of the tories. This is very good news for Labour. If UKIP get 15%+ at the next general election, Labour will be governing with a landslide, I assure you of that.

If left-wingers are concerned by the racist connections of UKIP, it's because they are genuinely concerned about the connections. It's the Daily Mail's motives here which are transparent. They don't care about the racism, they care that UKIP are a threat to the tories.

This is completely wrong, unsurprisingly. The accusation of racism is used by the left largely as an attempt to win an argument they can not win using reasoned logic.

I don't think this is true but there are some worrying connections/overlap between them - much as there were with labour and the far left when labour was a left wing party rather than center-right 'lite'.
It's a shame that folk don't have the confidence and intelligence to expose the flaws in extreme politics rather than just embark on an Orwellian smear campaign against any view that doesn't fit their own.
This country is full of 'right-on' Guardian readers that preach the politics of tolerance and inclusion but would move house at the drop of a hat if a black family or homosexuals moved in next door.
We actually have a strong history of extreme politics of both left and right in this country but have always had the collective political sense and awareness to not become either a fascist or communist state. The current political system of two or three indistinguishable parties that were all in the same class at school or uni together smacks of a single party totalitarian state. Bashing UKIP on the basis of personality rather than politics is lazy, stupid, and frankly a bit frightening in the sense that Farage is being cast as a modern day Emmanuel Goldstein.

If there's always something about a UKIP thread it always brings out the far right wing thuggery strange isn't it!!!

You really are relentless aren't you ? You are like a train, you cannot consider any other route than your own. You need derailing

This country will never let the real far left in - never!

So true. The irony being that when Tony managed to sanitise labours hysterical left, he won three elections on the trot, yet they hate him for not being socialist enough.

Has the leader of the SWP been charged with rape yet or was the comrades kangaroo court good enough or what about comrade Gerry Healy raping his way to the top funny how the muck is only thrown in one direction in here but the sordid antics of the hard left never seem to get a mention by the way I do not support UKIP I am centre right I dislike extremes of belief
Agree with all this, i dont vote, i dont support any political party they are all tossers, but boy do the left like a good whinge, they are there like a dog gnawing on an old bone, and that dog only has one left looking eye

When you say something's wrong, you have to have to use that evidence thing I've told you about before. It is the tories running scared from UKIP, hence this Daily Mail attack on UKIP which is the reason for this thread. Are the Daily Mail left-wing now?

Can you also explain to me why, if UKIP aren't taking a hell of a lot more votes off the tories than they are from Labour, why in every by-election except for Bradford West (won by a man I'm sure you're a big fan of, George Galloway), UKIP and Labour have gained ground simultaneously, with the higher swing to Labour in eight out of those twelve by-elections? In fact, even that doesn't tell the full tale. In one of those four where there was a lesser swing to Labour, the massacred tory vote led to a Labour gain. One of the others was Bradford West. Could you also explain why the fall in the tory vote, roughly mirrors the rise in the UKIP vote?

Honestly, I don't think even you are so blind as to ignore the fact that UKIP are dangerous to the tories, not Labour. So, why do the left care? What do the left have to gain by UKIP getting fewer votes? C'mon, let's hear something from you other than the usual guff. Let's see some real analysis and explanation. Mind you, it's not as if you have a great track record is it? You predicted a Romney victory...

Cant agree Skash, if Scotland votes for independence Labour will be fucked, they will be very lucky to ever rule in England again, the Tories know this and are going all out now to discredit UKIP before they can gain a foothold

This is total nonsense and comes from people who know nothing about elections. Labour won the most seats in England in 2005, 2001, and 1997.

Also, could you explain how Scotland voting for independence is related to UKIP. Ta.
