EDL founder Stephen Yaxley-Lennon admits mortgage fraud

English Defence League (EDL) founder and former leader Stephen Yaxley-Lennon has admitted mortgage fraud offences.

He pleaded guilty to two counts of conspiring with others to obtain a mortgage by misrepresentation from the Abbey and Halifax banks.

The 30-year-old, also known as Tommy Robinson, committed the offences in 2009.

Robinson's address and the court where he appeared cannot be named for legal reasons.

He was warned he could face a prison term when he is sentenced in the new year.

Earlier this year, Robinson was jailed for 10 months for using someone else's passport to travel to the USA.

He left the EDL last month, citing increasingly racist elements within the group.

Yaxley-Lennon founded the EDL in 2009 after five Muslim men demonstrated in Luton against a homecoming parade by the Royal Anglian Regiment.

Don't take the piss, I haven't paid them any attention, I don't with radical parties.

I was just curious as they seem to be gathering momentum.

I literally knew nothing about them until 5 mins ago.

Political correctness is stifling free speech.
The law of the land must be single and apply to us all. We oppose any other system of law.
Teach children positive messages and pride in their country. We want to unite through better Integration.

EU controls Immigration, Business and Employment, Financial Services, Fishing, Farming, Law and Order, Energy and Trade. It seeks now to control Foreign Affairs and Tax.
The British people must decide through an immediate referendum if we stay in the EU or come out and claw back independent power over our national life. We do not have to be ruled by this regime to work with our European neighbours who depend on us for their markets.
Give the public power to require binding local and national referenda on major issues.

What's not to like?

Choose any one of the established parties if you want but they are never going to deliver real change, the merry go round will continue unabated.

Some of the shocking events that have happened on Labours and the Tories watch have been staggering and this circle of hate towards the poor has to stop.

I don't listen to the racist tag it's a nonsense what i will do is vote UKIP and I will urge many around me to do the same.

From the reaction here, it seems they are quite a racist party and similar to the BNP.

Much better.

You did worry me for a moment.

From what else i have actually bothered to read about them, they are extreme neo-liberal free marketeers and virulently anti statist. But mostly they are racist bigots with a little Englander mentality. Saying that in a political landscape devoid of any real personality at least Farage has one. Even if i think he is an odious ****.

Farage is a good front man for a party that otherwise looks lightweight.

Their main impact has been to bring the immigration issue out of the closet. This has worried the Lab and Tory establishment enough to bring about a noticeable shift in their thinking. UKIP also continue to be very active in the EU debate.

They will win more seats for sure but I can't see them ever becoming big.

History will probably show them as a narrow-issue party whose success was acting as a catalyst.

I've never paid attention to anyone lower than the Lib Dems to be honest, well apart from the BNP idiots.

I won't even be bothering with these lot going off the comments,

They are the English equivalent of Paleoconseratives and libertarians in the US, English as although they have Uk in their name, they have virtually no foot hold in Wales or Scotland, and if you had the sort of mentality they crave as a welsh or Scot you would vote for a party with a Welsh or Scottish agenda. The equivalent of the Big Baddy of the federal government being the EU organisations.

I bet there are at least as many people with racial prejudice in the cons as there is in UKIP.

If they keep that out of policy and really aim to help the country then i can't see the issue.

If they give me my referendum and don't fudge it and basically tell people "no vote this way" then i will vote for them defo.
My main gripe is i have no voice i feel and it angers me more than almost anything else.
These cunts are here to speak for us not TO us.

They are all bent twats so why not give this lot their chance to dig in.
Basically Labour have no identity and are wishy washy and the cons seem inept at best dealing with the banking issue and only seem to be widening the gap between rich and poor.
Both have shown distinct disdain for the people of this country

The traditional three main parties are making it damned hard for the disillusioned masses not to look at alternative choices.
