I was just reading that - after the previous leader being Richard "Dick" Braine they don't help themselves do they. He could do better than we think though as the incumbent and his Tory challenger likely don't appeal to a UKIPPER - can't quite put my finger on why.....

Hopefully he does a lot better than expected (but still loses) and becomes party leader on the back of it. Succeeding the supply teacher and Neil Hamilton, his brand of positive thinking, god-bothering, opportunism (jumped ship from Brexit party in September) and profiteering ($300 for a bible on his website) could be the final nail in the coffin for the pound shop politicians.
