Unable to Watch City on TV in Big Matches

I just hate watching us on tv, not a patch on being there.

Really can't understand the rags in the family who insist watching down the pub is better than going to the games...the mind boggles.

They might feel the opposite way soon. They're too used to winning and we're used to losing so hide away.

So you're not watching the final if we get there then? The big games are what being a fan is all about... What will you do when we start getting into CL finals?
this is the whole point I was only 3 when we last won a trophy and 8 when we last played a semi a lot of us are just not used to it.I'm looking forward to it but also nervous,if it wasn't the rags it wouldn't be so bad but not making the final because of them is just unbearable.

get some balls boyo we all have to go through the same thing being blues, theres goin to be much more important bigger games to come from now on so get used to it

I'm just the same with big games. I feel sick with anxiety and am very down if we lose. My usual tactic is to check the score on-line at half-time and only then decide whether I can cope with watching. My dad is just the same.
Biggest mistake was turning the telly off after the 86th minute in the Gillingham game when they were 2-0 up. I was really really depressed at that point, as if the earth was going to end. Then my wife came home, asked why I wasn't watching it, I explained, and she told me they were playing extra time according to the car radio. I stared at her in disbelief for a long time. And then (I kid you not) considered long and hard whether I really wanted to go through all that disappointment again if we lost after extra time...before turning it back on.
Honestly it's too much to take at times.

This thread is really funny cos Im exactly the same - only when watching on TV though. I sometime get up from the sofa and march round the room as fast as I can - this uses up valuable time when we are winning!

the title sum me up tbh, when it comes to big matches, eg united, chelsea whatever. i shiver as if i'm really cold, and find it uncomfortable to watch city, as i am so nervous when watching them. i have to find something else to do to occupy myself. like for the 1st leg, i had to stop myself watching and having a nervous breakdown, so i did revision for about 2 hrs.

some of you might think i'm just daft and possibly not a true fan, but its the truth, and thats what happens.

anyone else do the same?

mate your not alone i am exactly the same, wife told me last week utd scored, i scream stfu i dont want to know, i dont want to know if city scored lol. i recorded it on sky hd and sloly look at the score, then i watched the match from recording, i must have lost a stone in sweat. But normal league games im fine?

I really want to just switch my tv and radio off tomorrow night and just go and hide while the game is on. Don't know if my nerves can take it, but I know I won't be able to stop myself from watching it!

It's all very well talking about big games and this is what it's all about but we're not used to it! Biggest game for a lot of us was the Play off final and the nerves leading up to that game nearly bloody killed me! Feels similar now, just want tomorrow night over and done with and with City in the final. All these years I've been desperate for City to win some silverware, always knew I'd feel like this the closer we got.

i will be a complete utter basterd tomorow, i dreading watching this one after the last time we played there, i was running around the house wanting to kick atkinsons head in, the next day i nearly got banned from the local sauna for threatening this shithead who was trying to goad me, he fucked off out and reported me, then still annoyed three weeks later i told this red idiot because he was listening to my conversation about shay to fuck off if he didn,t like what i was saying, i know i,m going to do some damage tomorow, if i go to the local club i,ll kick off, if watch on tv my youngest son is going to get upset with me, please city do it for all of us we deserve this after the years of these bed wetting red t--ts giving their shit out, and also stop me from ending up being sectioned?

Read somewhere that only 2 teams in the history of this competition have progressed to the final after losing the first leg. History is on or side this time......(crosses fingers and toes lol)

That's 46:2 (48 semi-final second legs) 47:2 inc Aston villa

Don't panic, enjoy!

Bloody hell, that's weird.
