Uncle Roy for England!

I wouldn't wish it upon him - he'll be crucified by the media at the first sign of things going wrong, purely on the grounds that he isn't Harry Redknapp.

Interesting though that they haven't approached Redknapp; even the FA have sussed him!

That's what I thought too; the media won't like it that they will be seen to have got it wrong this time.

However, I'm delighted. Much better choice than the one I was expecting.

i will look forward to england games even more now, not only will the player be a laughing stock, we will have this on the touchline too!

Levy probably wanted £20m for letting them speak to Bent Arry. So they moved straight onto the next choice.

Much more comfortable with Hodgson than the spiv. Despite the cup finals for me the bin dippers aren't doing that much better under Kenny than they were with Hodgson in fact he's only a few points behind with a "lesser squad"

I agree - I do think he'll be an excellent choice. Much more astute and canny thank Redknapp, and he did very well with Switzerland. And he seems to be a genuinely decent man.

But I do worry a bit for him though - just look at how the Liverpool job seemed to age him over a few months. He always seems more distant from the press, and Woolnough, Beasley et al will be dripping poison soon enough.

LMFAO, Ol' Tweetch won't be gettin' dreeem job *twitches*.

I don't mind Hodgson, I wouldn't be surprised if England did ok under him, though at the same time it'd be funny to see him spazzing out when Shrek smashes his 20th shot wide under the pressure of being 'The Golden Boy'. The Spuds fans who want Twitch out however, HAHAHAHAAAAA.

The bin dipper job was cursed the fans believed he was below them and that translated to the players. And it shows with how dire they've been in the league this year they don't question Kenny because it's Kenny ask them 2 years ago Premier League or FA Cup they'd have said league

What's probably crucial in this move is that Roy's contract with WBA runs out soon - they are in discussions for a new contract - so for the FA there would be little/no compensation. You can only imagine how much Levy/Spurs would want if the FA moved for Redknapp.
