Steve McQueen (two wheels good)
Prefab Sprout
Some of the finest song writings ever to grace a lump of plastic, so definitely not underrated imho.

Not many have listened to the fabulous Forever Changes either.

Maybe not but another album that has plenty of acclaim and does not qualify as underrated. Again, I bought it after years of seeing it described as a classic.
Disagree, I think its held in very high regard by millions of people the world over.
I’m sure they released the single “when love breaks down” 2 or 3 times until it finally got the critical claim it so richly deservedSome of the finest song writings ever to grace a lump of plastic, so definitely not underrated imho.
second coming - stone roses
not given the credit it deserves in my opinion
Agreed. I think everybody was expecting a 'Stone Roses' 2, just a continuation of that debut. But they had grown and were trying new directions. Probably the only track that sounded like it could have been on the first, was Ten Storey Love Song. People didn't give it a chance at the time ...
It’s a strange one.This was released way before my time and I only discovered it this year from a colleague.
Then having read about it a bit more I think it is underrated, certainly when it was released, if you read the "Reception" heading here;

It’s the seminal Kinks album.The Kinks Are the Village Green Preservation Society. Absolute brilliance. 50 years old last week btw.
Under rated in sales and the general public of the late 60s, but revered by any good critic and musician worth his salt. So kinda( do you like that pun) under rated in some sense.It’s the seminal Kinks album.
Superb but not underrated.
