They looked pretty good to be fair. Bailly, Pogba and Ibrahimovic give them a lot more physical presence. Early days, of course, but it looks like they'll be one of our main rivals for the title. On the plus side, an average Southampton side were able to create a fair few chances that a better team may have converted.

It'll be interesting when we go there in a few weeks. Physically they're much bigger and will be a real threat on set pieces, but they could struggle with our movement.
Yup. Derby day will be up there with a Mancini vs Red Nose. Been a bit shit with Manuel / Moyes/Dutch.

They looked solid tonight but Southampton could have scored a couple of goals with better finishing, thought they were really poor and will struggle to score many this season with Redmond and Long their main attackers.

It's strange to say that Fellaini is actually looking solid, thought he was better than Pogba tonight. Ibrahimovic will always score goals in and around the box despite being pedestrian for the majority. Rooney's shit though, can see him being a Mourinho ever-present, thankfully!

F***ing Sly Sports post match trying to white wash tbe Pogba transfer fee.

Giggs and the Rag Rache Riley trying their best to convince everyone that the Pogba transfer will be forgotten.

They "may" struggle against the better teams but IMO they'll beat ALL the lower teams. They will be shit to watch but get soft goals and favorable decisions galore this year I think.

That may be enough for them to win the league. It has been in the past.

But it's so early to tell how anyone will fear. Just wish they'd struggled and were on 2 points max. I f@ckin hate them!!!!

Agree they looked OK and will only get stronger. As will we...

Pogba as we know is the real deal and will tear lesser teams apart on his own when he gets up to speed but more worrying is the lack of ego shown by zlatan, he even comes across as being humble in the post match interview and very team focused. Hopefully the wheels fall off once the honeymoon period is over but all in all its lining up to be a belter of a season and rivalry for us over the next twelve months.

Looking forward to it.

Have Sky awarded them the title and Bet Fred paid out yet?

Fair fucks, IF they are looking like an improvement than their past few seasons. It's the hype and Americanism bullshit that will follow.

Only 2 games in mind. I'll watch the derby on an international feed rather than Sky if we're both maximum points before we play as I might need a new tele otherwise.

Ibra has always been a goal scorer no matter what league he plays in, no idea why people wrote him off before he came to the prem, But oh well, atleast we have bony

If Southampton can get 56% possession then I think we can impose our game on them but like you I would be worried about set pieces & crosses as we are quite a small team these days
