Ha ha! Tell you something though mate - be careful when using the Carlton Palmer reference re Pogba. You'll piss your sides at this - a United fan on Red Cafe the other week somewhat inexplicably and rather laughably called those blues making such a comparison racist!

Bearing in mind how they refer to our owners on a constant basis, i'm pretty sure they have no idea what 'being racist' is!

oops!!

From their official Twitter feed....

Is Antonio Valencia on a par with Dani Alves as the world's top right-back? #MUFC team-mate Ander Herrera thinks so:
That tweet illustrates just how that entire club and fanbase is riddled with insecurity, they have to be - in their eyes - "biggest club in the world" or "biggest spenders" or have the "world's top RB or midfielder" etc etc. It's as if their world would cave in otherwise.

Seems as though the eye gouger is willing to let the greatest world class centre back pairing of Smalling and Jones leave, I wonder if he gets slated for ruining English players the ****.

Never seen any evidence of this being a Sky directive, never been asked about it to give my opinion. More reds under the bed nonsense and wild claims being thrown around with no evidence.

Please dont drag me into a United thread again. I have no interest in them.
Not even how shit they are?

Free-kicks and pens for holding and impeding forwards is going to threaten Smalling's place in the Utd team if refs keep this up.

He's not played in either game this season, has he?!?

Heard 606 on Radio 5 yesterday, an Irish Rag was on gushing about their performance against Southampton, and he got giddy describing Ibrahimovic's header "It was a great header, i've not seen one so good in years", or something very similar! Now, I can't watch the cnuts on TV, they wind me up too much, but caught this 'wonder goal' on MOTD2 ...fuck me, it's the sort of goal Dzeko used to score, and by all accounts their performance wasn't that great... they really are delusional twats!

Just thank yourself lucky they haven't just clocked up the biggest away win of the weekend with Zlatan scoring 2 and their new summer signing getting the other 2 after being assisted by Rashford
Not watched the rags apart from before the first goal v Soton, has the great English hope managed any minutes on the pitch yet or is he a January Sunderland buy?

Nowhere near as good as Mick McCarthy's in front of the North Stand in '86!

On Sky News, the presenter said "Absolutely no doubt about that one, a clear-cut penalty" as they showed a slow-motion replay of Shaw clipping his own heels and hitting the deck like a sack of spuds. I've not seen any other angles so have no idea if there was contact prior to that, but there was literally zero correlation between the words he was saying and the images they were showing as evidence.

It happened in the charity shield as well, when they did a freeze frame showing big nose was fractionally offside for his goal and the commentator said something like "No problems there, you can see he's clearly onside." Cue all the brainwashed rags nodding in agreement while I sat there wondering why none of these fuckers have the power of independent thought.

Just seen the penalty for the first time - they make it vert hard to find, spite quite a few articles about the dive.

He quite clearly clips his own calf with the other foot. Not sure whether it was on purpose but defo no peno.

In similar way the Sky and BBC 'experts' were quick to say it was definite penalty against Sterling and they were very quick to blame Stoke player rather than give credit to Kun for losing his marker and score a very good header.

Cunuts

It must have been given for the slight lunge across from the defender. There may have been very minor contact which may have been enough to knock his balance enough to cause him to kick himself which may have been enough for Taylor to blow his whistle.

It was pretty minor though.

Pogba was class against Southampton. Still not worth the money he was paid for, but doesn't change the fact that he was immense. Played the box to box perfectly. He would've been perfect for us but Pep didn't fancy paying that much for him so I guess Pep knows best.

Possibly. I looked at that and decided against it. Shaw is a hefty unit and it would need more than slight contact to move those chunky kegs. You see ankle taps elsewhere and they cause people to stumble rather than hitting the deck immediately as he did. Shaw had both feet turned inwards as he ran - I m not sure if he runs that way when defending
But the point is that the Sly team wanted a penalty for United and there was no question of them examining any other possibility. The director and his team have instant access to all camera angles and can look before deciding to show it or not. If that had been a City player it would have been viewed very differently, in more ways than one.

Indubitably on the last point!

The first point - any contact was pretty minor at worst, but I don't think Taylor was in a position to tell (from the brief clip I saw). It would have needed a bit more to knock his foot sideways.

People forget that contact can often be heard close up. I now it is quieter at cricket but their umpires rely on sound a lot.

It doesn't matter if the defender shot him between the eyes with an elephant gun, all rags are cunuts and will never get the benefit of the doubt from me;)

I thought pep plays possession football, pogba barely completed a single pass in the 1st half. He gave the ball away nearly every time. His control was poor his strength and height got him out of plenty of self caused problems. He would cause untold problems for us but for them he has half the team behind to cover his errors. Good player but not for us mate.

No he wasn't..he was ok but to say he was class is pushing it a tad.
