We had a megathread about him in the transfer forum last year and people were hailing him as the messiah and were desperate to have him here. I think some of that was people seeing similarities with and thinking him to be a replacement for Yaya. So was all last years hype just that and people jumping on a bandwagon without knowing a lot about him, or were there genuinely people on here who had seen him play and rated him at the kinds of prices that were being quoted for him.

We were in for him at £58m from media reports but baulked at the £70m asked of us by Juve. He has the potential to be Yaya-esque but his Juve stats did really flatter him because of the players around him and the state of the league being a one horse race. He did have a decent World Cup showing. At £50-60m he would be a good punt, but at £100+m that is asking not only for a finished Yaya but the 2013/2014 Yaya. Pogba stats for every season have never even reached half of what 2013/2014 Yaya did, and there is no where in his game to show he can ever reach those heights. Putting £100+m on his back is just asking for trouble in terms of confidence and pressure. He's already feeling it.

Yeah - i'm convinced it was over £100mil too... luckily the press has been briefed to make the fee look a bit more favourable.... add in the agents fee of £20mil too...

They needed a player like Kante, but instead they went for a 'marquee' signing that would keep their deluded fans quiet and make them believe they were still a player in world football!
The fucking Bale rumours have started again. Are they thick? Will they never learn?

The sticking point with the Pogba transfer was always Raiola's fees. Juve wanted the rags to pay the full amount of £20 million (including their share) but the rags refused. This was a potential deal breaker and there was an impasse for weeks. Juve stuck to their guns but suddenly we heard that the rags had signed Pogba for £89 million plus a few add ons. What broke the deadlock? Well, I've heard that Woodwood, the world's worst transfer negotiator, caved in and the rags' pathetic attempts to lie about the true transfer fee (£110 million or thereabouts) were bolstered by the only concession Woodwood was able to get. The word is that the rags paid Raiola's full fees but got Pogba, Raiola and Juve to sign non-disclosure agreements. Unfortunately for them this is apparently widely known among staff working at the swamp, not all of whom are necessarily United fans.

I can't say 100% if this is right or not but it's certainly more than feasible and has a definite ring of truth about it. The United way.

I would have money on it being true... it's obvious... and the way Raiola has been raving about the rag twats is more proof of that!

The Bale rumours and the selling olf Shrek just happen to be after failure in Europa League which we all know is a mickey mouse contest and one that clubs should get out of as quick as possible to concentrate on the Prem League. It would be very very nice if Watford did them on Sunday.

Love the comment about Rojo

"He burns his toast like he burns his crosses....crap"

Also goes on a rant against us

'Manchester is red! Manchester is red!! Always be bigger than City, THAT'S A FACT!!
This slow witted cretin has to constantly reassure himself that his allegiance has any validity,
it really is joyous viewing this, if Watford do them the silly twat will probably have an apoplexy.

The desperate and deluded rags who are excusing all this shite by saying that they're only 5 games into the season are the same ones who were banging on about winning title number 21 after they beat Wigan in a pre-season friendly.

Of course Mino is in love with them at the minute, they've just handed him more than £25m to make a few phone calls and there's plenty more where that came from, he'll be bringing in Matuidi, Van der Wiel and Lukaku next summer with another nice pay day for a 5 year contract for Big Conk.

"Manchester is rad, Manchester is rad"......the fucking yokel. Something quite abnormal growing out of the top of his head there ?

Isn't it a requirement that Premier league clubs have to disclose what agent's fees they have paid?

Yep. It's also a rag policy to pay the money to the players as a middleman and let them pay the agent so that they don't have to disclose it. Watch the huge spike in salaries in their next accounts.

I love how their incredibly cringey marketing when he came is biting them firmly in the arse now....

Most expensive player in the world can only play on the left of a midfield 3. No fuck that, if he can't adapt a bit then he simply is not that good, absolute bollocks he needs it all just so. Never heard so much shit in all my days, fuck off utd you're fucking wank and are vastly less than the sum of your average parts. Without masters of the game around him , he is exposed imo as a possible decent player, that is the best i can say for mr 100mil.

They have spent fucking loads all over the pitch and are still no further on than they were when Moyes was in, that's the cold truth for them. We would never have seen the press have so much fun had we been so shit

There's no way they'll be allowed to lose to Watford - not a chance. That would really ratchet up the pressure, so I think we can all safely say there will be the predictable 'controversial incident' to ensure three points.
