I can't see him going to China. Hopefully he digs his heels in and wants to see out the rest of his 300,000 a week contract.

interesting difference in management styles - Pep = ruthless - comes in axes big name players and sends them out on loan etc
Maureen - undermines individuals and conducts continual campaigns in the press.
Both have results in the dressing room Peps will be short sharp shock then on with the team building whereas Maureens dressing rooms inevitably become cess pits of in fighting and mistrust and have their usual well documented result

Too late I think, seems like he's taking his syrup, padded international stats and fat arse over there as a trophy signing.

Annoying that both he and United will be getting handsomely rewarded but that's what having a high profile gets you.

He will struggle over there, looks like the kind of **** who goes to Spain and eats nothing but egg and chips

whats the odds on the BBC following him and doing an hour long documentary on him becoming the best thing ever to happen to Chinese sport?

Exclusive picture of Wayne experiencing the culture of China...

For all his bluster and pseudo hardman approach in front of TV interviewers, PEG is obviously a bit a fanny. It looks like he doesnt like confrontation and straight talking with his staff so he does it vicariously through the meedja and by starting rumours. Bit of a baby really

Gotta love their PR department.

Flooding the media with this Shrek bullshit after Ikkle citeh play and win the European match of the season....

It'll be a six part fluffy documentary back to back with class of 92.

Scum and the Glazers are desperate to get him of the books! Sat on the bench and getting paid 300k a week till 2020 they wont want!

Was just seeing what Ragcafe made of our game last night and came across this beauty......FFS.
Arsenal fan.

"Am I missing something? I thought that away goals counted as 2 home goals?

So wouldn't Monaco only need a 1-0 win?"

Well, Arsenal fans don't know what it's like to get past this stage, so its understandable they don't quite grasp the rules!

This, and only this. He's not going anywhere. The vermin have to pay him £300,000 per week until his contract expires, and I honestly believe he'll honour that contract. He's too thick to settle on the other side of the world, and I'm not convinced his family will want to up sticks just for another bumper pay-packet. He's already got more money that he could ever spend so why go to all the bother of learning a new language (or at least enough of it to get by), adjusting to a different culture and playing Sunday morning standard football?

It would make for more sense for him to stay where he is and just sit on the subs bench, doing fuck all but adding another million pounds to his bank account every month.

Never underestimate the greed of a female who is accustomed to a certain lifestyle. It may depend on Mrs Rooney and her plans for divorce once he tops 20 stone

I think this is the raggy top brass trying to force him out, I know players are all greedy ****s but with the money he has and a young family China really shouldn't be on his mind, I could understand a MLS club or maybe even Italy but they probably couldn't get near his current contract so I think he'll stay where he is allegedly in the pub most days in the north west.

The rags may get away with paying 80% of his wages and a loan deal to Everton but that's the best they'll manage.
