They've got their bogey team away this weekend.

Then it's Arsenal, West Ham, Everton, Tottenham.

Oooof. Good luck raggity rags

I said in this thread a 2 weeks ago that that run would kill them, but with no result at Burnley or tonight, Saturday is a must win game now.

They don't understand that even now -- that's the beauty. The club needed rebuilding from the day the Withered Liver walked out the door. Ownership has no balls -- none -- and not close to enough footy knowledge to break down the club, restart from scratch and accept a few years in tenth to recreate the side and the ENTIRE football infrastructure. They've ignored their own realities, they've ignored the massive improvement in a number of Prem sides, and now they'll be tenth anyway. This is a classic example of a business that was coasting on its history, oblivious to rot in their own house and positive developments at their competitors. I saw this coming three years ago, and said so.

Quite right. They remind me of Microsoft in many ways. And Carlton is looking like their version of Windows 8

I can quite categorically say i never thought they had a hope of winning the league and many many others did too, so theres nothing surprising here. You cant expect a 5th place side to suddenly rise up and claim the whole damn thing. Maybe you should just speak for yourself Sarah

What about a team who just finished 17th? (Or was it 16th)

desperate rag given a brilliant reminder of what Leicester did.

That's why I made the comparison and it's happening again. Mourinho's appointment was a direct response to Pep arriving at City. They went against every principle they supposedly hold. The fact that the media didn't call them out on it shows how much power they still hold.
It's just what Swales did.

They are truly the gift that keeps on giving. We all know Istanbul is a tough place to go to but the way they just completely give up is just comical. How I'd love it if Swansea beat them again on Sunday. Can you imagine the meltdown? Winless in 5 league matches with Arsenal to come next.

Could do with them winning on Saturday. Don't want the wheels coming off just yet.
Haha , that's how I feel . On the other hand I want them to lose every game they ever play , and sack manager after manager , they'll find the right one eventually . we did after around 30 year's , enjoy fuckers . .

All their woes can be traced back to one thing, our emergence as a serious challenge to the title. The hard shoulder shitter realised he couldn't compete and ran like the shithouse he is. Since then, everything they have done has been in reaction to something we have done.
The funniest thing is that the people in charge at the swamp don't realise this. They have no plan other than to buy the biggest names who will get more headlines and sell more shirts. The self proclaimed biggest club in the world has forgotten how to actually run a football club. They are a complete joke and remind me very much of City under Swales. They're more concerned with what we are doing than they are in sorting their own problems.
Spot on stony. But I'd go further and say they're more interested in being a commercial company, bringing in more and more sponsors, than being a football club. They're like an advertising agency where the staff go out and play football after work on Thursdays.

Not to be a party pooper but I totally agree with you, it is classless and not becoming of a blue really. These things are usually auctioned off for charity. Far better to have bought it and made a public display of saying "what the fuck do you think I want this for" and giving it straight back. At least it could have been sold off again, for a good cause, I suppose. I like to think we deal with things with City humour, not burning stuff and unpleasantness. Thats a Rag trick.

I'm with you on that mate. Hopefully, the Blue who did it will realise he has been a prat and some charity could have further benefited.

I for one did not think the raggies would meltdown so quickly. It was inevitable that they would eventually with so many egos. You couldn't pick a worse combo than Maureen and Ibrahimovic for that. But at least I thought they'd be up there for a season or two. I'm happy to be surprised!

not a good night for the posh neighbours over the road the noise neighbours was singing and laughing and flashing the lights and setting of fireworks and its only the 3rd of November

Good point PB, in fact their plan to clean up financially seems to be working quite well in spite of the gradual demise of the football team.

Perhaps only the die hard supporters are the ones needing constant success at the highest level and others just buy into the current experience more like a visit to Disneyworld rather than to witness world football superiority. The ramping up of expectations in the close season with any flavour of expensive player to attract the support with the media programmed to help sell the experience soon sells shirts and sponsorship.
Then a turnover of charismatic managers to eventually be fall guys when reality sets in and the make believe turns to yet another year of second rate football. Then repeat the process all over again to a gullible pseudo supporter in the close season.

How long this will last financially I don´t know but are the Glazers interested in anything else ?
