Odd thing to say. Why do you care? They rarely actually get them, Pogba aside.

Perhaps it is due to the constant drip , drip drip effect of highlighting the Rags at every given opportunity which pisses most of us off,even though they seldom get who they are supposed to be " in for ".

Too much unjustified exposure across the whole of the media imo.

In the Mirror this morning there was a report about maureen telling him to do less promotion and concentrate on football,i don't think the pog is that interested in playing,it seems more a marriage of convinience (sp) why else would he go there and give up the CL,he went for money and profile thats it

Well it seems he went there on the basis of promises made about marketing him rather than to advance his football career, What do you expect?

I think because the work put in behind the scenes and commercially at City to try and get us to a level of Bayern, Real, etc, whilst bearing fruit financially is stifled somewhat by the publicity and fawning of the rags constantly bigged up in the media.

From the average neutral fan, we don't get the level of respect and awe that we should - if we were linked with the world's biggest stars I believe it would help our image (even if we didn't get them), simply by being in people's mindset as a club that could in theory at least take Neymar from Barca if we wanted.

I don't share your view, but regardless you seem to be ignoring the fact that Lionel Messi, the best player in the world, is linked with our club more than any other.

Kevin de Bruyne was linked with Bayern, Jesus was linked with Barca, Madrid apparently wanted Sterling. City sign big players and don't have saddoes briefing the media about what we might do to save face like the rags do.
