United (A) | PL | Post Match Thread

Watched the game again without the hindrance of Derby day nerves. Anyone thinking we weren't all that in the first half should watch it again. utd had a half chance after 2 mins before City got into their stride. After that they had a couple of break aways after the odd misplaced pass. City put together some sublime moves that utd could only dream about doing.

Bernardo doubling up with Jack on the left is something City did in the home Derby last year. It worked superbly because Captain Fernandez doesn't cover his full back no matter how many times he get rinsed. Felt like Jack wasn't marked the whole game.

Second half they were an absolute shitshow. The move for the 2nd goal is a joy. Watching Maguire is funny as fck. Like a school kid chasing the ball on the playground.

City play teams every week who sit in with 5-4-1 system hoping for a break away. They are well organised, well coached teams. utd haven't got a fckin clue how to play a team that is better than them (or one that's worse). They are so badly coached it's untrue.

Taking nothing away from City, as its probably the best we've played this season, but we're utd simply the worst team we've faced?
I think Sheffield United were worse when we played them back in August. The scoreline doesn't reflect that but I thought they were very poor.

It's not easy for me to compare though as I wasn't sober at the match on Sunday. I wish I hadn't been so pissed but I'd sooner we won while pissed than lost while sober! I will watch the whole game back at some point and be able to give a better assessment. United are dogshit though, of that there is no doubt. They've been awful all season and how they have 5 wins is beyond me. Granted, every team plays shit and gets a result every now and then but these fuckers have turned it into an art form. I was worried that that trend would continue on Sunday but thankfully they got what they truly deserved - a comprehensive beating.

Some pre match giddiness from Red Cafe, although there are a few realists

Henrik Larsson
Maguire to boss Haaland and then score a last minute winner, probably.

What is the two fingers up thing? Sorry, if I'm the dumb American, but I've never seen that before.
It is an f off signal here. It dates back to when we were in battles with the french . When the french caught an English archer they would cut off his two fingers to prevent him pulling the bow string.
Those that still had their fingers held them up in defiance of the french!

That's a great post. Pep also gave Grealish a much more free role in the Young Boys match with him moving across to the right frequently. Perhaps it was a rehearsal for Sunday. Grealish and Bernardo dragged United's defenders left and right in the second half leaving a gaping whole down the centre of United's pitiful defence.
Kyle Walker and Phil Foden weren't too shabby on the right either.

Yeah was so much fun to watch. No wonder he was beaming at the end.
