United (A) | PL | Post Match Thread

The back 4 makes a huge difference. It’s the foundation of success.

Build a skyscraper without foundations and it will crumble.

The injures mean United are overrunning us at the back and that impacts the rest of the team, including when playing out from the back and keeping United cramped in.

Rico not good enough, Ake finished, Alleyne no experience at this level.

Khus gets the ‘Oscar Bobb effect’ from a lot of posters on here. Majorly overrated based on not enough evidence with some hilariously even claiming he’s better than Dias.
Khus was one of our better players but I agreed with your overall point. In my opinion that is a one off because of the defence.

2 goals, 3 offside goals, 2 off the post and 3 great saves. Absolutely dominant performance from United, since Van Gaal's 4-2 win. That ends the title race, but we can still compete in the other trophies.
????

Not got the same confidence as you right this second. Sorry.

Fucking shit performance all round but Rico Lewis the worst out of the lot. Problem is the others collectively had a mare whereas that was his level. You can’t defend him. He’s useless and pulls the team down to his level whenever he’s on the pitch against premier league opposition.

@dax what in flying fuck do you see in this kid?

The red probably saved us more embarrassment by not giving Dalot the red because I think we would have lost even playing against 10

Khusanov & Donnarumma are the only ones coming out with any credit after that (maybe Alleyne as well as he wasn’t too bad after a shaky start).

The rest of it was a clown show of a performance. Just terrible from every other player, especially Doku, Lewis & Haaland. Aké is just slow & past it, not his fault, it’s Pep’s for playing him in the 1st place.

Appalling, shameful, atrocious, fucking disgraceful.
Turned it off as soon as they scored their first.
First derby I’ve ever turned off.
We’ve had some appalling teams over the years and that is the most spineless gutless performance I’ve witnessed.
Team of shit houses.
When the going gets tough we run for the hills.
Thank fuck for Donnarumma or it would have been even more embarrassing.
Not that the score makes a difference when you perform like that, in a FUCKING DERBY!!!
Pep has to take some/most of the blame with that lineup, but I can’t put it all on him when the team puts in a shit house display like that.
Fuming doesn’t quite cut it.
Not sure where we go from here.
The mentality of this squad is on the floor.

I've quoted it before, but you can't fool all of the people, all of the time.

You just cannot offer up chance after chance, week after week, then moan about getting stuffed. That could have been 6.

This has been on the cards for weeks, despite the good results. it probably won't be the last time this season, either.

This is what Pep saw on the horizon after winning 3-0 against West Ham, and why he kept them back for extra training.

A single shot on target, last knockings. In the derby?

If it's a red, different game. Where the fuck is VAR?
You'd get pissed off too if all the BIG decisions always seem to come down on the other side.

Kinda fuming to be fair!

Does it allow for a shit Derby performance?

Their first was a great bit of football though. I lost focus after that.

Nothing to say really other than the red card changes the game, but they will milk it for all its worth
United cup final win and open top bus parade around Trafford on Sunday

I'm doubting top 4 this season. United tore us apart today. We were hopeless. Lammens was hardly troubled at all. 68% possession and one effort on target is terrible.
Apart from Donnarumma the rest didn't show anything. Lewis and Ake....no more please. Foden and Haaland to the bench.
