United (A) | PL | Post Match Thread

Gutless from City….no other way of putting it……every other team that has played United at OT has looked like scoring.

Realise Rodri is still on the recovery road but we are constantly out battled, out passed in the midfield and are simply not good enough in that area.

That was a battering today !

Awful from City today, all round apart from keeper. Rags more effective in their game-plan. City missing key players but set-up still wrong for the game. Stupid goals conceded.

Rags should have been down to 10 men early in game…

Not interested in loads of recriminations.

Some of our players are very tired, some are very young or still new to the team and Derbies can produce results that go against form. Hope Rags are that organised and aggressive next week at Emirates but will probably shit the bed.

Pep plays how Pep plays and players have to execute plan; they didn’t and made costly errors on their goals.

Hate losing to the Rags but far more bothered about giving Arsenal a huge advantage.

Absolute dog shit. Inexcusable.

Thank heavens for The Don. He didn't deserve to be on the losing team today, but if it wasn't for him it probably would have been 5.

Worst performance of the season, and to do it in a Derby is just a plain fucking disgrace. Horrible horrible display that.

I'm doubting top 4 this season. United tore us apart today. We were hopeless. Lammens was hardly troubled at all. 68% possession and one effort on target is terrible.
Apart from Donnarumma the rest didn't show anything. Lewis and Ake....no more please. Foden and Haaland to the bench.

They had seven on target, and two on the woodwork (which are not considered to be on target). Three goals ruled out (one of them very tight). You can't argue with that, and yes, they were leaving one on us outrageously and getting away with it in the first half. Well you know what? I'd like to see that rage in a derby and elsewhere from us. We got physically bullied by Sunderland, Forest and Chelsea. And again today. We are not a physically imposing team. Say what you like about Arsenal, I don't think they're even as good as us technically (although they've got two or three players with plenty of skill), but they impose themselves physically when nothing else is working.
No excuses. You can't argue with this result. No excuses.

We were absolute shite from start to finish, we got what we deserved there, too many players not showing up ..... if Arsenal win tonight its probably all but over ...... on to Bodo and Wolves now to see if we can at least recover in the right way.

He's second with Bernie in third. Still not great imo.
Nonsense mate, I don't think he did much wrong, I know for a fact it would have been a heavier defeat if he wouldn't have played, he stopped a fair few very decent rag chances. If we'd won and he'd played like that we'd be saying how well he played

No knee jerk reaction from me.

City are playing on 4 fronts perhaps 3 now the league is over.
City had a tough game on Tuesday night, rags had their feet up resting.
City have to try and manage their efforts. Rags dont have to as they have 6 or 7 days to recover and be coached.
City are just play recover, play recover not much time for coaching.

Yes it hurts to lose to these rags.

We really are their cup final, this was a typical mid table team upping their game to beat us, same as spuds do.
Rags were so much faster won ever 50/50 be interesting to see how they perform next week.

As for City we looked knackered and not capable of matching the rags intensity. I havent seen the rags play like that for a few years.
We were well of the pace. If the ref and var had done their job it could have been different. Could rags have kept that intensity up for 80 minutes with 10 men ?

Complete and utter nonsense.....Haaland, Foden, Semenyo and Doku were far worse. They created and produced the square root of less than fuck all.

No they weren’t. Lewis was a massive problem. Pushed too far forward and was useless with the ball and negated Semenyo. Oh and he was at fault for their second. He was the worst player on the pitch which today took some doing.

We were all over the place and looked like we were frightened of them, no balance to the team caused by so many injuries but, we lost because we didn't perform, the set pieces were awful no creativity in midfield but most of all come on ffs where is the passion for a Derby where your fight desire pride.
I'm not going to slate individual players but we have a couple no longer at the races.
Despite who we played we got nothing and that's what we deserved, heads up move on and hopefully a few will be back soon.
Come on Pep time to inspire

FFS City, that was shite from the off.

We knew they'd be up for it, but we just didn't match their intensity, desire and energy.

I know injuries have been a big factor but the lack of effort was embarrassing.

Only The Don and Khus come out of that with any credit, the rest were piss poor.
