Bad enough in a derby, even worse against a team as bad as they are.

Some of our players want to have a look at themselves.

So do our coaches, i think their second goal started with our free kick at their end. Haven’t we in the past let the opposition score from one of our corners.

Does anyone believe that if Pep started O'Reilly instead of Lewis, Cherki instead of Foden etc. that the result would have been different? Cos I don't.

City fans love looking for excuses. Cherki and O'Reilly played the whole of the second half and we were worse in the second half.

Subbed off Alleyne, got worse at the back. Unless he has an injury it was a poor choice. The kid was just settling in.

Agree and that move killed us for pace at the back even more - did Pep not learn from the Chelsea game that Ake now not being able to run will leave us wide open?

We weren't great in the first half, but things really went to shit when Cherki came on for Foden, so...

Nothing to do with cherki coming on .bar Donna rumma and kushanov we were second best in every dept. They were snide in challenges whereas we are pussies.foden and haaland in particular are bottlers in the tackle. Ake looks like he runs in treacle. Lewis is bang average .cant remember a performance as poor as that.no teamwork in that team. Couldn’t control the ball. Brainless falling into utds block and quick breaks time after time.foden needs resting again. Haaland too really as for a big bloke he gives up the ball way too easy.hope fully we won’t play as bad as that again this season and Utd definitely won’t have an easier game

How many times are you more concerned awaiting the team news than the actual game?
Nunes for me was a massive miss today (obviously injured) as is someone who can win the tackles in our midfield, if we are in for Anderson all the better.
I worried today with the amount of game time our out of form players have had, Phil and Erling mainly.
Rico really doesn't look at our level but i don't feel comfortable for him to be persecuted and cast in the same mold that Richard Edgehill was.
Utd were rock bottom in mindset going into this game and could only give it their all to climb upwards and fight for the right to win a derby,
unfortunately we allowed them to do this with ease.

Lewis isn’t the problem. The real issue is that the club failed to sign defenders and full-backs when we clearly needed them. Instead, we kept buying attacking players, a position where we already have plenty of options. In my opinion, that’s poor prioritization from the sporting leadership. And now we’re paying the price for those decisions. Panicking and trying to fix it in the January window doesn’t help, when this problem has been obvious for a long, long time.

Partly agree we need fullbacks buy them from Newcastle Hall and Livramento. But we also need attacking players since we bought the wrong ones, Savinho and Marmoush seems to be wrong buys. Se we need to replace them. Bobb hasent got the goals in him either.

But we need an overhaul on the defending side there I agree with you.

2 points better off than last season with the run we had says we have a long rebuild ahead of us despite the new players bought in.

We are well off what we need to be a force again that is obvious.

Really poor today to a very poor side and its not a one off we are just making up the numbers even though Arsenal are nothing special.

Will potter and stutter to around 70 points this season hopefully enough for a top four finish.

I agrees with this, just have full backs as full backs. I miss the days of Walker etc. making overlapping runs

There is no one with the creative nous to play through balls. If you don't have that then it needs to come from crosses - we don't do that. Our set piece delivery from corners is an absolute disgrace.

We then have two wingers, but neither cross the ball. They had both full backs on early Yellow cards and we didn't exploit it.

We have someone who can take an amazing long throw which gets the ball into the danger area. We don't do that and our throw ins do have a bad habit of putting us under more pressure.

Bad, bad, bad day.

I watched some KDB highlights yesterday and thought at the time "who is going to get us assists like this". Foden doesn't have a forward pass in him. Cherki perhaps? But without assists you're not getting many goals.

The red card was a game changer which I would hope Pep brings up in the after match interview, but we did fück all after that apart from sided to side to side, back and repeat. Their goal came from our free kick ffs.

The one thing a team needs above anything else to win a title is, drive, determination and serious bollocks.

These attributes do not exist amongst this group.

That’s before we get onto the individual abilities.

Lewis playing at club that has spent the money we have is a joke, the midfield balance is all wrong, and again, Haaland can do what he wants because he has no real competition.

The players know they aren’t good enough, we do, the whole club can sense it.

It’s been a decent window (hope the apathy doesn’t infiltrate Semenyo and Geuhi) but we are going to need another couple of excellent windows to pull this around.

We also need to let all of the “nearly” men in the squad go as well.
