We were insipidly shite. Never looked like we were interested in competing physically and it’s very rare that we produce a performance as bad as that.

Ake and Lewis lack the dynamism, pace and physicality to play in anything other than weaker teams at home.

Fuck knows why Erl looked pissed off at getting hooked, he did nothing again.

We need Nunes, Guéhi, Gonzalez back in quickly to have a bit of pace and physicality in there.

It now depends on what the Arsenal do later - win and we’ve likely got no chance for the league.

Might be a blessing in some ways - regroup and focus on the three cups and CL qualification.

We have got no chance of winning the league. This side is shadow of title winning sides of the past.

Away from home we are utterly shite. Lost 4 and been fortunate in others.

City are playing on 4 fronts perhaps 3 now the league is over.
City had a tough game on Tuesday night, rags had their feet up resting.
City have to try and manage their efforts. Rags dont have to as they have 6 or 7 days to recover and be coached.
City are just play recover, play recover not much time for coaching.

Yes it hurts to lose to these rags.

We really are their cup final, this was a typical mid table team upping their game to beat us, same as spuds do.
Rags were so much faster won ever 50/50 be interesting to see how they perform next week.

As for City we looked knackered and not capable of matching the rags intensity. I have seen the rags play like that for a few years.
We were well of the pace. If the ref and var had done their job it could have been different. Could rags have kept that intensity up for 80 minutes with 10 men ?

Firstly anybody who saw that defence knew we were in for a tough afternoon. How we got away with it against Newcastle is anybody's guess but to lose Nunes as well was the killer. People can point the finger at Pep all they want but no team can lose three first choice defenders and not suffer. Ake is obviously past his best and Lewis just isn't good enough. He had little choice though as we are down to the bare bones, only at left back does he have options.
Theys where you badly need your holding midfield players to protect it. Unfortunately Rodri had a stinker and Bernie wasn't much better. We can excuse a patched up rookie defence to a point but the rest of the more experienced players should hang their heads in shame.
Doku, Foden, Semenyo and Haaland were absolutely atrocious. No other word for it.
Not for the first time we have been outfought in a derby game and its not acceptable.
Our fading hopes of the league are dead and buried. We need to rest players there and just do enough for top four. Its all or nothing in the cups but unless we strengthen further and get some injured players back we have no chance in those either. If we get past Newcastle ( Not a given on today's showing ) Arsenal will absolutely batter us in the final if we play that defence.
The rebuild needs to be bigger than we thought and even more deadwood booted out of the door.

We were extremely poor today and looked woeful. Our defensive issues caught up with us. Rico unfortunately is not good enough and my heart sank when I saw the team sheet. Putting the whole thing into perspective, we play every 3 games they don’t. They had the new manager bounce and their players were well up for it. Not a great time to play any team. It may have looked liked the players didn’t care but they just didn’t have the energy. This is a bump in the road and not all the doom and gloom that is being called out. Adding Guehi and Nunes back in that team will give us a reset and lift. Foden needs dropping and God we missed Gonzales.
