Nice line from match report on Beeb, by Phil McNulty, Chief football writer:

The facts of the matter are simple.
City's 2-0 victory margin barely scratches at how much better they were than United.
I liked his line which later disappeared:
"United aren't even in City's shadow."
Tee hee, mind the gap.
 
Mate, you're supposing a lot.
Sane came on in the 50th minute. The rags had shot their load by then. The formation and game changed. Sane was fresh, the rags had played 50 odd minutes. Sane made an impact. It doesn't necessarily mean that Sane would have had the same impact if he had started the match. He has started matches before and not had the desired effect.
To extrapolate from all that that to not start him was a mistake by Pep is just nonsense.
Sane started in every one of our league losses, iirc.I
