If you can’t get yourself up for a Derby then footballs not the game for you. We’ve been beaten by these lot 3 times. Fernandes should have been completely shut down. Sell Raheem and try to keep Leroy. Raz has had his head turned. Marehz destroyed these lot when we won so why didn’t he play?

Because Pep tries to reinvent the wheel a lot. Many occasions it’s amazing, when it goes tits up it goes tits up. He has a habit of playing severely out of form players whilst dropping others playing well. I’m not saying same 11 week in week out but there’s far too many changes. Momentum is huge and we nip it in the bud when it’s not needed sometimes.

The turn over in the middle is painfully slow with Gundogan and Rodri there. Bernardo and Sterling are horrible to watch at the moment. In the grand scheme of things it’s not the worst game to lose. Still a derby though and whatever the situation we need to go for it.

Many things pissed me off today, but the biggest moment was after Sterling had fluffed his lines from Mahrez's cross, he just fucked around on the floor. If he had jumped up, he would have been in a good position to take advantage of De Gea's fumble from Jesus.

With our recruitment recently I'm not so sure we'll get it right in the summer either.

Besides Laporte, we seem to like buying nice guys that don't fit the intensity of this league.

The previous united losses this season were unfortunate and we were clearly the better side for most of the duration - but this?? Massive backward step and it pains me to say it, but nited appear to be closing the gap even despite our decline. Yes we won a cup, always an achievement, but we weren't convincing in that and had fortunate draws - Real Madrid? well we'll see if that was a sustainable performance.

Otamendi, Zinchenko, Gundogan, Rodri, Mendy, Cancello aren't good enough for a club that has ambitions to be the country's/Europes best.

Sterling in this form is also a liability at the moment too.

spot on with all the ones you mention though you have to add the caveat for Zinchecko that he is an attacking midfielder playing as a fullback so he deserves some slack

the rest are absolutely nowhere near good enough.....

Sterling is struggling but we know he can be better.....the others i wouldnt be too sure about.

Summer will bring about much needed change and im certain we will be back at it next season league wise but in the meantime, we should and will imo finish 2nd which is hardly a disaster.

The game changed on yet more embarrassing defending and shit goalkeeping. Whether or not it was a free kick or not is immaterial afaiac.

We were well below our best. Ederson should have saved the shot from the free kick that wasn't a free kick, yes. But the game turned on that moment of cheating. We need to wait for Laporte to get fit and find a CB worthy of playing alongside him - we need to find the best - a stopper who can be relied on to bring the ball out and pass it.

In my pre match comments I said, half tongue in cheek “ Cancelo, Otamendi,Zinchenko with Rodri and Gundo in midfield, what could possibly go wrong ?”

I’ve lost count of the number of times this year I have thought to myself “ that was the worst performance of the season” Well, surely that was it. We were awful in every single position and not a single starter comes out of that with any credit. Apart from the culprits named above, what on earth has happened to Bernie and Sterling, they have been missing in action for months. Fernandinho was mauled by Martial the whole game. Sergio and Phil offered nothing. That just leaves Ederson, well...........

i hate to say but OGS and his coaching team managed that perfectly from their perspective and Pep seemed to have no answers.

We need some big squad changes before next season.

Yes. If you think we would accept only 100m for him then you're dafter than I thought. Clubs don't look at a 3/4 month period of below par performances when buying players, they put a little bit more effort in.

It was a dead rubber and we treated it like one. Cancelo, Zinchenko starting, the worlds slowest midfield combo. It was all about minutes in legs I reckon.

As long as we keep winning when it matters, I can put shit like this in the rear view pretty quickly.
