United (a) post-match thread

We have to. It's that simple.

1x LB starter - 50m
1x LB back up - 20m
2x CB starters - 70m each.
1x Sane replacement - 125m
1x Fern replacement - 100m
1x RB starter/squad place - 40m
1x GK squad - 15m
2x STRIKERS - 80-100M Each
3rd striker if Serg or Jesus leave - 50-70m

Raheem to leave if his head doesn't come back - 120m
Sane - 60m (that's all we will get)
Mendy - 25m
Ota - 10m
Stones - 15m
Bravo - free
Rodri - 30m

A net spend of around 5-600m.

If not, next season will be much like this one.
As per 2013, as per 2014/15.

we wont do all of that in one go - not a chance - Khaldoon has said numerous times the big spending days are over and most transfer seasons it will be one or two additions at max

we could be rebuilding for a while and may have to accept that we will now be caught in terms of quality by the chasing pack - losing Silva, Kompany and Kun plus ferna in the space fo 2 seasons was always going to make thinkss impossible and im not sure how you replace any of them with like for like quality as they are all world class and will need the moey you are taling about above which again we cannot spend in one go even with sales of players .

I don’t disagree on the logic but there is no way we can spend that much money.

If we hadn't lost a Derby for the third time this season, this thread would be quite funny.

Not funny enough for me to go and find something more productive to do.

If we beat Newcastle, you can guarantee we'll play the Rags in the semi-final and that one we will need to win.

Because Pep tries to reinvent the wheel a lot. Many occasions it’s amazing, when it goes tits up it goes tits up. He has a habit of playing severely out of form players whilst dropping others playing well. I’m not saying same 11 week in week out but there’s far too many changes. Momentum is huge and we nip it in the bud when it’s not needed sometimes.

The turn over in the middle is painfully slow with Gundogan and Rodri there. Bernardo and Sterling are horrible to watch at the moment. In the grand scheme of things it’s not the worst game to lose. Still a derby though and whatever the situation we need to go for it.

Yep - Pep has a very odd habit of ... just when a player is on a great run and full of confidence and form .... dropping them in favour of someone who has been completely out of contention and/or form.

I can see that it keeps everyone on their toes, but it also means we're regularly playing what is clearly not our best team.

So today, no Mahrez or Jesus ... no Walker when we know they're going to keep playing balls for their forwards to chase and we need pace at the back ... instead we rely on Sterling, Cancelo, Zinchenko ... all short on form and/or confidence.

Pep likes to do this, for some reason ... in a way that few other managers (and certainly not Klopp) would ever consider.

Cancelo actually did alright as the game went on and I'm not convinced by him.

The three changes we made all had an impact.

Be sad if Dave finishes this season without a final win against these bastards.

Be lovely to do it at Wembley against them.

You're dreaming mate. They would love us at Wembley. Nothing to fear based on our latest performances against them.
