United (A) Post Match Thread

Pretty sure some posting on here are United fans or you’ve had more than a few beers as you make the word hyperbole sound like...hyperbole.

Yes, not the greatest and we have our issues that need sorting, but the notion we can’t win the league again with Pep is the latest of top 10 most ridiculous statements I’ve ever heard from a so-called City supporter.

It was fucking embarrassing. The delayed reaction and then the fall that came should’ve resulted in a booking but it’s St Marcus so everything is good.
Mahrez on the left and Sterling (or Torres) on the right and we’re 2 up at half time.

Does anyone still rate Rodri?

One of our biggest flaws IMO. Far from a Fernandinho replacement.

We've got better footballers at centre half and defensively and positionally he's all over the place too. Can't stand watching him play to be honest, ponderous and always a step behind.

Couple that with losing David and our midfield is a mess at the moment.
fully agree..the central midfield is the crux of our issue and the ballance.......2 out of the 3 together (ferna, gundogan or Rodri) and we lose creativity, slow sideways passing and no threat at all....cuple that with a forward line who arent good finishers....

Pep needs to revert to playing with one holding midfielder and if that for the moment has to be Ferna then so be it as the other two cant do it on their own unless its against midtable cannon fodder.

Kev running on empty and we aren't even at the halfway point yet is very worrying. Where has the intensity in our play disappeared to?

You'll want to sell Kevin too then, because he's been off form as well.

May as well sell the whole team
Of form is an understatement Mate that was a shameful performance from him but it’s not a one off and that is a big worry . Laporte was shut against Spurs and he was dropped what’s sterling’s excuse ?

Not happy that we could of gone up a gear, but ffs every time the rags fucked up ,not a Dickie bird from those wankers on sky. We make a mistake and its picked up asap and wankers on here go on and on about it. It's a fucking strange season and we aont out of fuck all yet. Pissed off royally but that shower of shite will be celebrating at their performance.

Boring, where was the passion? Both teams played for the nil nil draw.
It's a good job there were no fans there, otherwise they'd all want refunds.
Has there ever been a more boring Manchester derby?

Spot on mate. Our two most creative players were on the bench. It’s really bizarre what goes on in Peps brain sometimes. We’re looking more and more like a mourinho team. Hey perhaps he’s going for the clean sheet trophy this year.
Our two most creative players are KDB and Mahrez. They were both on the pitch and both missed sitters.

This season is turning into our very own version of Waiting for Godot. Waiting for Messi.

And the message of the play is apt.

Ambition, daring, creativity all seem to have gone. Playing well and losing is far more forgivable than going through the motions and 'winning' a point that is barely more use than losing.

Such a shame that the one player who actually understands what a Manchester derby means was sat there watching that rubbish and falling asleep like the rest of us as his passion alone would have won that game.

Utterly baffled why Pep - clearly a great manager - settled for a tame draw when the match was there to be won.

He would not have done that pre Covid. Perhaps what has happened that has made football feel a bit like it is a fly caught in amber frozen in time as well as his own loss has turned him into the kind of manager he was not born to be. Pragmatic. I doubt he will ever be successful at that.

He needs to rediscover his mojo or we will be watching a lot of games like that.

Perhaps if Godot turns up this time he will find it.

No problem with us being cautious rather than losing 3-0 on the break.

But we have no attacking ideas whatsoever. And that includes KDB. Some nice touches, but also wasteful & his finishing is fucking awful. For a player of his quality to not even hit the target with the rebound from Ffs' shot is just piss poor. That was the match.

We need some new blood.

We’d have won stuff if only he’d listened to you, but yes I’m a bit pissed to off.
I'm not disputing Pep's achievements and I'm the first to celebrate his success. I love and appreciate what he's done since joining us.

BUT (Behold, Underlying Truth) he is guilty of over thinking things and it often translates to under performances.
