United (A) Post Match Thread

The "United Way" in action.

Loved Bernie's reaction, but why are they shouting paedo at Phil?

After 4 billion years of life and evolution on this planet, the United DNA has a number of strand missing that allows their knuckle-dragging morons to function and grow. Fuck knows how they reproduce!
What utter dicks I didn’t know my hatred for them could grow but seeing that has taken it to hights

its funny, i used to fucking despise them, like properly properly despise them. But see now, see the past 8 years, they've been nothing more than an occasional inconvenience for us. I still throughly dislike them, but they dont get under my skin like they used to
Oh i hate them. The ‘old’ united rears its head on a regulator basis and reminds me why i hate them

Thats not what happened. Jesus touches the ball to try and go round Telles, Telles then swings for the ball touching it very slightly but then follows thru and kicks Jesus. The question is whether that touch negates what comes after. According to the current laws it doesnt.

Getting the ball first has minimal relevance as to whether a foul has occurred. There is no reference to making contact with the ball in the section relating to Fouls and Misconduct in the Laws of the Game, but it may be considered by the referee in deciding whether contact was careless, reckless or excessively forceful.

There are six offences in which contact is made with an opponent that cause a direct free kick to be awarded: first one below

  • kicks an opponent carelessly, recklessly or with excessive force

So clear pen as tackle was careless even with the slightest of touches to the ball
depends on which amgle is shown tbh. the one i saw makes it look like the defender swings his foot, gets a glancing blow and then his foot jabs into the turf and jesus kicks into it at the same time.

the one you saw shows from the reverese , you can barely notice the touch at that angle and it looks more like the defender swipes jesus’ foot away.

in summary is it a clear and obvious error? or do they stay with the refs decision - and this season they have leaned towards doing so.

and i’m fine with it

Its very clear Telles takes the swipe, glances the ball ever so slightly then follows thru and takes Jesus foot. According to the current laws of the game its a foul, as a light touch on the ball doesn't negate what comes straight after.

Obviously any player would have to adapt to Pep's way of playing. Many players past & present have mentioned how Pep changed their game, & how they look at the game tactically. The same will happen with a clinical goal scorer.

We will make the necessary adjustments with a clinical striker to ensure we can retain possession, but to also kill off teams when the opportunities present themselves. If we weren't in urgent need of such a player, we wouldn't have bid a reported £130m for Kane last summer. The fact we did shows where our squad priorities will lie next summer, unless Torres & Delap surprise everyone & prove to be the solutions to our striking problems, right under our noses.
Delap needs to be in the squad for that to happen ? We keep naming 2 keepers on the bench ?

Exactly OliVAR knows this, but the cheating c*nt ignored the Laws of the Game and waved away a BLATANT, penalty. The w@nkers in the studio, Rat Boy in particular were in the ears of Stockley Park and as a result they never even reviewed it.

BENT BASTARDS!!!

The scoreline looks ordinary but City sent a powerful subliminal message to the rag hordes.
The look of bewilderment on some of the rags at work today was a thing to behold.

They're lost for words and don't which way to turn. Most of them struggling to understand why their so called proud club are sticking with the paper boy when he's obviously bereft of ideas.
