United (A) | Post Match Thread

I don’t think we were as poor as some do. We were certainly not at our best by any stretch but at 1-0 we were controlling the game. Then comes the big moment that changed the whole game. I just cannot fathom how the officials think Rashford isn’t interfering with play. It’s a shocking decision that’s shafted us again. Not for the first time I’m left wondering if it’s just appalling officiating or something more sinister. I mean what is VAR for if it can’t look at that and say the goal shouldn’t stand?
He
Another assist for Kevin today. Didn’t you notice?
he may have provided another assist but he is definitely not at the top of his game , same applies to Phil

I agree it should be offside but they were basically saying it doesn’t effect a defender getting the ball. Their stride patterns didn’t change etc

Yeah it’s complete nonsense, if you are affecting the actions the defender and keeper make from being in an offside position then you’re interfering

Not sure where we go from here. Pep has gotten it wrong *a lot* the entire campaign. Part of me wonders if he’ll even be here next year. Nobody looks inspired. Nobody looks hungry to win. Just bodies going through the motions every week, every 90. How do you even fix that?

Yer see it a hundred times a weekend - players in an offside position, not touching the ball, but given offside.

VAR allows results to be manipulated to arrive at a preferred outcome.

We might be off the boil a touch, but yer want the fuckin' LOTG applying. VAR fudged and fudged and found a way to arrive at a Rag goal!
