I always felt Zinchenko was good enough.

Very few world class talents at left back around.

For what we need, I'm not sure we can do much better in the present market?

Maybe.....so then why sanction his sale? It was fucking madness, especially to an up and coming manager and team, and now very much a rival.

Rico will start in this. We need his energy.

I can see pep going top heavy to take an early lead & keep them pegged in, however very risky & their first counter could lead to a goal

We need a bit of luck on Saturday as confidence is down

I think we will go Walker and Ake as the conventional full-backs, and that Cancelo has burnt whatever bridges Pep was looking for him to repair in recent weeks.

My worry will be Rashford and Anthony down our left side, trickery and pace.

Its pace and directness that has propelled them and given them a platform for confidence, something our team lacks severely.

Me too TH, we have made very few transfer gaffes but for me we should not have sold Zinch or Jesus to a prem rival.
The Arteta factor aside, we sold excellent players to a prem rival who likely will win the league, we seemingly forgot the fact that AFC was part of the hateful eight and seemingly forgot that Wegner shot arrows at us for years.
As Piss Can once said - I wouldn't sell them a virus and we still have the never ending left back issue.

Yes arguably they were both fringe players but absolute stupidty to gift Arsenal 2 quality players.
Sorry for going off topic here but it fucking irkes me.

We had no replacement secured, Zinc (atleast on the surface) seemed to be content and loved the club and he was pretty much guaranteed to play a significant number of games if fit and not out of form.

Will never know why we got rid of him. What a loss to the squad, both on the pitch and off it.

He seems to have binned Cancelo at LB since the red against Fulham

But he's noticeably worse on the right, he offers a lot stepping into midfield from the left I think.

Walker has co play conventional RB Sunday or we get shredded down that side

Jesus wanted out and is now Arsenal's highest paid player, so his view was understandable.

Zin is an intelligent player, not the greatest defender, but neither was Delph, and both used their technical ability to cover the issues.

Looking at Chillwell and Cucurella, the combined cost to Chelsea, it's clear other clubs also struggle to find a top class left back.

On your other point, Arsenal won't win the league, we will.

I hope and expect a big reaction this weekend and then heap the pressure on them for Sunday.

I just want Pep to go back to 4-3-3 and have people playing in their right positions!
