with 5 points behind Arsenal a W is needed but after yesterday`s performance & uniteds momentum perhaps a draw is good enough..

I don't understand where the argument against Walker's form comes from. He's played one full game since October and in that game he was tremendous. In the other two half-games, he played in unfamiliar positions. He was bad last night but respectable at Stamford Bridge last week. Walker as a right-back is a vital asset and absolutely has to play on Saturday.

I’d go for walker/ stones Ake and Laporte with Cancelo nowhere near our team.

Makes Cancelo's new deal all the more bizarre.

We badly need him to recover his forward attributes.

He's played a lot of football last few years, most players suffer a drop off every now and we'd all hope he'll come back into form eventually but the Txiki and Berrada's comittee's hubris in the summer of A) letting Zinchenko go and B) Not moving for a top class replacement is really hitting home now.

He should be rested but we have no valid alternative.

We've been spinning plates for years at fullback, seems like 1 year too far. Competition winner Gomez is the nail in the coffin.

Most fans could see the issue on the horizon in summer, real blind spots some times. See CB in summer 2019, ST in Summer 20.

Our wing and CM options are the next issues on the horizon, hopefully they don't manyana those

Maybe.....so then why sanction his sale? It was fucking madness,especially to an up and coming manager and team,and now very much a rival.

I think because we didn’t replace him properly there’s a little revisionism on Zinchenko. He was absolutely brilliant in possession, seems like a terrific guy and was popular in the squad. However he had a few matches like West Ham where his poor defensive instincts were heavily punished.

I think he had to go but not before he was replaced. We need a left back to overlap. We got Gomez but he’s very very raw and so far almost every mistake has been punished. He’ll get until the end of the season and then I wouldn’t be surprised if he’s off on loan to Burnley.
