Don't usually want us to play a strong team in the league cup as it's the lesser trophy and I always feel we're best to rest players early in the season and get them ready for the tough months when the CL knockouts start up.

However, they've had the better of us in recent meetings and we need to go there and give them a pasting. Same team that won v Chelsea, if possible. Make changes for Brum in the FA Cup when some of the covid players return. Play them off the park.

Klopp is both right & wrong:
Liverpool get plenty of penalties ... it's just that Utd are off the scale.

Utd got more pens last season than anyone in the history of English football, didn't they?

And Fernandes was involved in more goals since he arrived than any other player in Premier League ... but half are penalties.

Crazy ... but I suppose it must be down to how they go relentlessly all-out attack every game ?

Maybe klopp should be looking at how many dodgy penalties his team get In final minutes by cheating.
United cheating doesn’t make Mane any less of a cheat does it??
