I think you’ll find it’s since 1915


The 1915 British football betting scandal occurred when a Football League First Division match between Manchester United and Liverpool at Old Trafford on 2 April (Good Friday) 1915 was fixed in United's favour, with players from both sides benefiting from bets placed upon the result. In all, seven players were found to have participated in the scandal and all were subsequently banned for life, although most later had their bans overturned.
 
It would take all the other clubs of the Premier League plus at least one, but it would be better if to of the big six join them. This is the only way to scupper this idea. The only other way is for the Premier League to ban all those clubs who are going to support and agree to this deal

And the rest of the country was up to its neck in muck 'n bullets keeping Jurgen's ancestors (definitely not, Bert's nor Uwe's!) from taking over Mk1.
