Didn’t think we played that well in the first half. We were too frenetic and trying to force matters, but we calmed down in the second and moved the ball and them with greater purpose. Probably good to have had such a test now with what’s to come.

An amazing performance in the end but definitely nervy at times, they scored from one of their only shots on target and it was a worldy, much like Luton in mid-week.

I knew with how much possession we had, how many chances we had and how leggy they were getting in the second half that we’d put at least one away. I did think it was maybe heading for a draw but our quality shone through in the end against an anti-football rag team that seemed to just want to sit back and kick long balls up to Garnacho & co.
