United (H) | PL | Post Match Thread

Taylor genuinely is an Altrincham fan. He went school with my mate who said he was an Alty fan back then. Another mate of mine played for Alty and Taylor used to always speak to him about Alty when he saw him. And another mate of mine’s missus is mates with Taylor’s missus. Straight up, he’s an Altrincham fan.

I don’t get this weird fixation our fanbase has with Taylor being a United fan. We never used to have the same fixation with Lee Mason who claimed to be a Bolton fan but had been known to attend United games when he was younger. In fact, I can’t remember anyone in our fanbase ever mentioning it.

Even if Taylor was a Rag (his kids are), what does it matter? He’s taken charge of a few derbies now and refereed them all very fairly.
To be fair, he was okay-ish yesterday. Kept his cards in his pocket, and tried to let the game flow. Was he perfect? No, of course not. Is there such a thing as a perfect refereeing performance? But we've all seen worse.

Brilliant result obviously but there are still issues with the way we are set up

United were just too inept to take any advantage of it

Their wingbacks were left free all game and they started to get some joy with this at the start of the second half

We the snuffed that out by scoring at exactly the right time and then they were chasing the game and we dialed down our press and played on the counter

That chance and save from Mbuemo was a key moment ,that goes in and I bet we shit our kecks and lose the game , perhaps Pepsi is sick on the 1st chance resulting in a goal so has signed Donnaruma - it worked a treat yesterday

The two competent teams we have played have pulled our pants down , the other two we have just blown away with our quality forwards

Our press needs to be spot on for it to work , if we can get a couple of decent results in the next two games this could give the players the confidence they need to commit to this high risk strategy

Heart says we can get 4 points ,head thinks we may struggle

Didnt even know it was him reffing which is a good sign. He didnt make himself the main attraction for a change.

why has baconface changed from wearing a rag red tie to a maroon one?

if he thinks he can start supporting us he can fuck off.

Interesting remark from Pep, when talking about Khusanov’s habit of diving in too aggressively.
“We have talked a lot about this. He is learning, it’s just time [needed].”
Imho, Khusanov will be a star. He’s just 21. Wow.
