United (H) Post Match Thread

Love Raheem, and read something about Madrid being interested. No way would they sign him. Pep still has a lot of work to do with him to up his game.

Reflect on the whole season...............how many times have we missed gilt edged chances?!............it’s easy to dissect a “iffy” defence........but to be honest......regardless of Sergio claiming the historic City all time hero..........we have duffed many, many chances................we need a very, very clinical duo up front.

On the whole, when you get to our (giddy) level of performance that Pep has brought in this season you sometimes forget that a Derby is a Derby and that anything can happen: today was just crazy and a reminder to Pep to not take anything for granted in this league, ever. And as for the referees.... that's another story.

Well its like this. Its like saying you wanted to win the league against Stoke and it didnt happen. But you win it anyway. Who cares as long as we win it.

It seemed everyone on my packed train home cared.

LETS REFLECT ON THE POSITIVES!

Mourinho winning the game, means he is going nowhere next season and they are no title threat to us! Rather lose a Derby and win a premier league title.

Im sure todays game will only make us stronger long term. We need another world class striker in the summer and improve in a few places.
My conclusions too. Maybe not so easy to find these players. We can improve on our finishing for sure.

Got Mendy for next season. And add a striker. Not sure who loses out up front, but definitely our goal scoring is a little short of where it could be...and we're closing on 100 goals....so what will we do next season?

Just watched it again on motd.
Our mannequin defenders cost us today.
Pogba twice free run on goal while the defenders stood still, same for the smalling goal.
Sterling and the other missed chances only cost us cos of our shit defending.
Still fuming.
I thought their first two goals had quality. If we had scored similar we would have been pleased enough and not necessarily blamed poor defence. The third was an unmitigated defensive disaster. Even after that, we should have won. Nailed on pen + chances that should have been converted.

We needed some one to track Pogba it’s harder for a defender to pick up someone running in the box to get on the end of a ball

Agreed.

The team shape went to pieces in that 10 minute period. In the first half we were energetic and closed gaps. In the second Fernandinho was left isolated in the middle of the park and if he had more assistance that goal doesn't go in. Ironically it's the exact thing Pogba does where he mopes around high up the field and leaves the midfield completely vacant.

I think you should go back & read what I've said. At no point did I say I thought we would do it on Tuesday, I said it was Peps priority.

I also didn't say it was the fans 'fault'. I simply said the atmosphere was awful.
Pep has always said next game is the priority, so how come today wasn't? Fair enough if Tuesdays game was in the balance but the facts are it isn't,we need a 4 0 win to progress, whereas today a win of any score and we are champions against the scum, a dream scenario that will never happen again
