United (H) Post Match Thread

I wasn't gonna watch it either, normally just delete motd after we've lost, but I wanted to see the penalty claim again.
Happened right in front of me and couldn't believe he didn't give it, having seen it again it's worse than I thought. Nailed on pen, nailed on red.
He fucked us over the whole game so shouldn't be surprised.

The word ‘corrupt’ springs to mind

Pep has always said next game is the priority, so how come today wasn't? Fair enough if Tuesdays game was in the balance but the facts are it isn't,we need a 4 0 win to progress, whereas today a win of any score and we are champions against the scum, a dream scenario that will never happen again
TBH, as fun as it would have been today, even though the game was against them, the battle to win the league hasn't felt that way (a head to head) for a long time.
Aguero Day was much more of a game against them even though we weren't playing them.

I say this acknowledging that we haven't won it yet...but we do have lots more great chances to finish it - and that's probably the problem.

I think the point is that It's been a foregone conclusion for some time but today would have made it extra special, not least for putting Moureen back in his box.

Nothing is a foregone conclusion and for fans to assume it is, is dangerous. The big picture is if we win the league, it doesnt matter one scrote whether its against the rags or any other nondescript team. If we win it we win it and will party.

Yes, I have watched some scintillating footy this season, which makes it all the more disappointing to watch the missed opportunities go wafting by...

It’s just one game when we were robbed by the ref & missed at least 3 chances. We outplayed them but can’t legislate for a shit ref.

We seem to have about twenty shots a game - like we did today. I'd love to know what our goals to shots ratio is compared to the ratio of goals to shots against us. I've no scientific evidence to support this but it really feels like any opponent (and I mean any opponent) will score from two or three attempts against us. When was the last time another team took us apart and we ended up with a clean sheet or even nicked a winner ?

Pep with his team selection and Sterling is a luxury we can not afford.
This game should have been our priority now we have 2nd leg that we could easily loose or at least get knocked out we then go to play spurs another game we could easily loose. the pressure will continue to build. our season that looked so good only a few weeks ago could all fall to peices and even if we go on to win the league all the gloss could be taken off it. The worrying thing is that peps stubbourness may mean he hasn"t and won't learn from these mistakes. He has no comprehension or concern what today mean"t to the Mancunian blues. He has also given the rags something to build on they could and should go unbeaten till the end of the season and that can only be bad for next season. We should have gone for the kill just like we should have modified our tactics at Klanfield.
