United (H) Post Match Thread

Just so deflated.

Lost badly to Liverpool. Could have won the league in a once in a lifetime opportunity against the rags.

Winning it against Swansea etc will be good but just not as good as it could have been.

Pep largely to blame. Tinkered with the squad against Liverpool, got Pogba fired up before this match and dropped some of our the best players for it.

No way would he have dropped Messi and Iniesta for a game against Madrid.

Even after all this time Pep doesn't get City. But ultimately our defence must take the blame today along with Atkinson. And Gundogan need to go back to Germany......contributed nothing apart from a goal that gave us false hope......

Tiny margins make all the difference, the last two games we have been denied two stone wall penalties, against the dippers they scored a goal that was off side, we were denied a goal hat was proved to be onside.

We have had zero luck in the last 2 games, hopefully it turns in our favour on Tuesday.
You think it's luck do you ?

hate losing and hate losing to the scum but the ref and the officials was poor and never going to give city nothing. young should have been booked with 2 fouls on sterling but the ref seen it the other way ????? clear pen and forget the all this he got the ball it was over the top and a leg breaker lucky for aguero got up and played on. but boy sterling missed 3 big chances and at this level you can not get away with it would killed the game as well. that part of sterling game is unfixable and lets him down big time maybe pep should just give him a wing role and be happy to score 5 to 10 goals a season but asking to play in a false 9 is far to big a role for sterling and will let you down

pep did the right thing with liverpool coming up and when you seen the starting line up it was not good you could here the moans and see puzzled faces but at 2 up city was all over them and half time change the game and city did what everybody was thinking and give it away with just sitting back and not changing the setup it was coming. yes the ref was shocking but question are bigger about the city team and finishing

now if this is not the big wake up call for pep and city to come out all guns blazing vs liverpool and turn the tie around then the title will follow soon after. yes hurt like it mad today but tomorrow we go again and now we must stand up and show all the good work we have done in getting to this point was no fluke and let the scum have there day yes they won the battle today but the war is over and manchester city are the victor's and the medals will be handed out around the city players heads

We're still going to win the title. City will be Premier League Champions!
Whether this happens at Spurs or the following week, it happens.
And we've already put 8 past Liverpool this season, we can do that again.
The players know they owe us a big performance after today, Liverpool will feel the backlash.
Didn't the players owe us a big performance after Wednesday?

Embarassing. I want to look him in the eye and ask him what we were resting players for. The Liverpool game? That's over and he must surely know it.

That's why he's the best manager in the world and you're not!

Best season so far that any team or supporter could wish for. Then.....typical City raises it's fucking ugly head, and within four days we end up a laughing stock, pathetically blaming the referee. Shit!!!! I am so pissed off. Lose to the rags at home 2-0 up at half time, Grrrrrrrrr.

You nailed it, yes we might win the league in three or four weeks time but the gloss will have gone off it and what state of mind will they be in for Tuesday, I worry for an even worse bad spell coming up which instead of being lauded as amazing could see us derided as over rated. So loved the glory of people saying what a great side now we could be remembered as a side that fell over the line hope not but it's going to need amazing strength to turn these two results around.how does he plug this leaky defence

Is that the leaky defence that has conceded fewer than anyone else or another one I dont know about

Calming down a bit now.
I hope Pep learns a few lessons after today, the first of which being that Otamendi can be a liablity when the pressure is on. He has had a good season, but when we need a calm head he goes to pieces . Hopefully Laporte is the solution - he needs to get more game time at CH from here on.
Not sure what Raz will be thinking right now - Pep didn't trust him on Wednesday and his shite finishing has cost us dear today.

Absolute bottle jobs. I don't blame Pep for this. The players out there that blew United away first half need to take some blame. 2 nil is never enough against your rivals. We needed to keep up that pressure from the first 30 mins ALL game. We yet again conceded some very very poor goals. Not one of the last 6 goals we've conceded was down to good play from the opposition. We've gifted 6 goals in last 2 games which is criminal. Sometimes you just have to see games out. No chance we will keep the fools out Tuesday. This season had so much promise and when we eventually pick up the titles it will feel so after the Lord mayor's show.
