United (H) Post Match Thread

We will be the complete side when we learn when to close big games out , and get the occasional scruffy result , Pep wants to play the beautiful game all the time which is admirable but the really great teams had better game management than we have at the moment , there has got to be a plan B when we need to get a "result" and just take the draw or a slender victory. We will end up with two trophies and will be asking ourselves "what if" , probably sounds arrogant and greedy , but we should have won the lot this season with this football team.
We needed 1 win from 7 this afternoon.

Now we need 2 wins from 6.

After next weekend, I predict we'll need 2 wins from 5. I cannot see us winning at Spurs without Fernandino and going there with morale where it will inevitably be having lost the derby and having been dumped out of the CL.

If god forbid the unthinkable were to happen and we lost away at West Ham, we'll need 2 from 4 and will have probably just lost 5 games on the bounce.

This is not yet a crisis, but it could turn into one quite quickly.

It's a bad week so far for pep. Should have gone full strength today and won the league. That in itself would have given to team belief for Tuesday.
Now they will be struggling to pick themselves up, and self belief will be low.
It's going to be tough on Tuesday!!
I'm trying to get my optimistic self to put a positive spin on things, but it's just not coming at the mo!

Does it matter if he did?

Just wondering that if he didn't then why do it with us? Can top teams afford to rest their best players? We would have had a huge momentum and feel good going into Tuesday's game. Now the fans are deflated.

No he wouldn't have. So I have no idea why he thinks it was acceptable today

It wasn't and cost us. People going on about a great 1st half but he means nothing if you lost the game.

Pep realised he'd fucked up when he put on KDB, Jesus and Aguero.

He went studs up and connected aguero touched the ball inside and would have had control of it had he not been brought down, whether Young’s foot glanced the ball is not relevant. If you take a player out when the ball is in play it is a penalty.

I only saw it twice and would claim anything possible against the filth, just didn't see it that way.
