United (H) Post Match Thread

Thanks Pep. Thanks City. Thanks for saving that shitshow for today of all days

just about every player saved today to put in their worst performance of the season. Special mention for De Bruyne, Sterling, Jesus and Mahrez, who were simply fucking shocking beyond belief

and Pep had one of his famous brain farts that he seems to save for some of the biggest matches. Walker, Foden and Bernardo should have all started

This is why we in part won’t win the champions league pep adjusts his team to suit opponents play the fucking team and formation that got us into this position in the league, tell you what Wednesday early evening should be interesting..

That team was good enough to beat them. yes I would have picked Bernie but that is the only change I would have made. Need a serious post mortem to why they were so poor from front to back. I’m afraid the answer may be Kevin De Bruyne. Worst midfield performance I’ve seen in a long time.

needs time on the bench and earn his place back.

An uncharacteristic start to the first half and a surprise goal to our much-loved visitors. After the thirteen minute mark, Pep Guardiola's well-oiled machine slipped into gear and it was now City's turn to dominate; and dominate they did. To such an extent, United bizarrely, began wasting time and in general, look tired and "rattled" at the end of the first half.

A fine goal from England's best left back at present means that its City who are now "rattled" as the second half progresses. From then on, a disjointed performance up to the seventieth minute but there's still hope in me that the team will find a way to score the goals needed. A nice cross from Walker to a woefully out-of-form Raheem Sterling could have made for an interesting final ten minutes.

Alas, the might Manchester City lose to an average manager and team who have the "hoodoo" over them; Wigan spring to mind as another. The unbeaten record is over but this is still the best team in England by a handsome margin and who should wrap up the Premier League - and possibly other trophies - sooner rather than later.

One observation that our esteemed manager must be aware of and that's Sterling's impotence against Bissaka. Maybe, just maybe, it should be the young maestro Foden next time; in order to pose Bissaka a different set of problems. Sorry, two: United needed that victory in order to keep at bay the pack chasing CL places. With hindsight, it showed with the performance - players were second best at times - and the result.
how dare you use perspective to make a thought out, reasonable post

Only the manager will stop us winning all in front of us.

Foden and Bernardo had to play but Pep will kill us if we persist with the likes of Jesus against the top teams.

Jesus is so out of his depth it’s untrue. People go on about his stats but they’re mainly established against weaker sides because he wasn’t good enough to play in the bigger games.

Sterling is jacking me off now as well. No excuse for some of those misses.

It’s not Bernardo or de bruyne but Bernardo or mahrez.
De brJune would have played better with Bernardo.

The first time we go behind, and we looked toothless. Wake up call before the CL. Credit to United, they played perfect. Leaving Bernardo out and having Sterling against Wan Bissaka were bad choices. KDB has to earn his place.

It’s a derby and I think pep thinks the red shite are still managed by fergie. He gives them far too much respect in every derby

play your best team and we win.

jesus very poor
kevin very poor
sterling very poor.

passing again too slow and clueless .

zin and stones only one who played well

some were just bang average but most not on their game.

On Pep that.....another of his infrequent but famous brain farts.

The team selection was wrong from the start, and im not convinced he understands what the Derby means.....you play your best players in your best 11.

Anyway.....on a positive, hopefully its treated as a wake up call for the CL.

Bollocks. That was a strong side. On the players today. We were shite but unlucky, nothing went for us.

Bad prep by Pep, Ole knows he doesn't take it seriously. Ultimately, doesn't make a dent in anything we're doing and now the records is 21 games.

You can not legislate for some bad performances, kdb being utter wank, cancelo being terrible and a few others not much better but you can question the manager and his team selection when everybody here immediately said the same things upon seeing the teamsheet and that's exactly how things panned out.

Sterling utter fucking dogshit once more, we all saw that coming. Should never have started.

no walker to combat the inevitable pacy counter, we all saw that as a big problem.

No energy in the midfield without Bernardo, Fernandinho or foden, we all saw that coming too and then it was made worse still with the lack of walker. no pace to combat the counter and no shield infront of the back 4 meant our defence were left woefully exposed time and time again.

Then his subs, walker he corrected his error, fine no issue, correct choice but taking off jesus and putting the worst finisher at the club in his place, what was he expecting from that? And not usigng the third sub when you've got Bernardo torres and aguero on the bench still and any number of piss poor players to take off is baffling.

in all honesty we got off lightly there, that should have been a total humiliation and its entirely Peps fault.

The guy's a genius but he's not exempt from justified criticism and he continuously does this in the big games.

We can't win them all, It was inevitable we would lose at one point or the other. We move forward and look for the next game. We're top with 11 points, I wouldn't lose sleep over this.

Pretty shite.
Poor team selection, poor subs.
But some unimaginably shit individual performances as well (e.g. Cancelo)
