Brilliant. 1st time I saw that. Lovely overhead kick by Francis Lee deserved a goal....and that comedy near the corner flag...priceless...I hadn't realised that behaviour was from the old days & part of the City dna....Rodney Marsh & Mike Summerbee absolutely fantastic.

That would be a great team if fit. We will have a lot of options when everyone gets fit. I think Bobb is a very likely starter. i I can see Khusa making it. Possibly Gvardiol. Stones probably unlikely. I will look out for Marmoush scan news in 24 hours (hopefully good) and training videos (are Foden, Gvardiol and Stones in training).

I am confident for this season because I think we have added some quality to the squad and Rodri is coming back but at the moment we have a lot of injured players, I think we can field a strong first XI but the bench might be weak, or include players who are not 100%.

I think Utd can play a strong defensive game but they have bought into a goalkeeping crisis and their midfield is weak.

I'm getting geed up for this early because Erling has too. 5 goals he scored last night. Oh how we City fans would love him to carry that form on into the next half a dozen games. Go on Big Erl lad. Bulldoze your way through.
They played against the equivalent of 5th tier team. I mean they scored 11 goals, its a joke a huge one

Sunday we click and the season begins 3-1 city

I very much hope so. My feeling is, we'll click *after* Arsenal... A wave of negativity may sweep the forum. Hope you are right, though, and we don't lose any of the next 3 games. Two wins and a draw would be great.

I'm no expert compared to Pep and his ilk, but I'd love us not to play such a high line on Sunday as it plays right into the hands of the counter-attacking teams. Stretching the pitch gives us more room to play; condensing the pitch makes the low block easier, and leaves us susceptible to the dreaded quick breakaway when we lose possession.

I'm hoping more than anything that Donnarumma has a good game and can start putting an end to that dreaded thought that we'll concede to the first counter-attack of the game. It's the most open derby for a long time, imho, because of our renewals, lack of match fitness, and consequent inability to gauge our form.

Let's hope that 'normal' service can be resumed, we find a way to thump 'em, and get the bragging rights back where they belong.

Been a while since i've gone into a derby game feeling so flat and lacking confidence. No doubt by Sunday ill be buzzing for the day, just hope we find some form and the 2 week break has done us some good. Key is going to be Peps presser on Friday and getting an update on injuries. Could really do with Gvadiol, Stones, Foden and Savinho back fit.
