Can’t remember the last time I was worried about playing these twats. Sadly we’ve dropped to their level somehow. Sunday is absolute must win. Haaland needs to show up, and Dias needs to Marshall that back 4 properly. Says a lot that with or without injuries I’m not sure any of us know what our best 11 is. Rodri and Haaland obviously have to start and for me if fit stones and Gvardiol. Not sure who else or in what position.
Its not the 11 per se, its the way pep keeps setting us up, its setting us up to fail, the world and his wife knows we have no pace at the back yep pep keeps insisting on this stupid highline which keeps killing us, the back four shouldnt be allowed 10 yards ahead of the 18 yard box, you have one of the worlds best midfielders there use him to bridge the gap and stop getting us killed with a stupid high line which we quite simply cant play.

Donnarumma
Nunes Dias Guardiol Ait Nouri
Rodri Reijnders Bernardo
Bobb Haaland Doku

3-0

Not sure what the back four options are going to end up looking like, but from midfield onwards that would be my team too. Much prefer Bernardo in the middle, where he does his best work.

Good balance out wide, and a big opportunity for both Doku and Bobb to really stake their claim.

Our successful title-winning teams lost three games per season, no wiggle room if the unthinkable happens on Sunday
Last year Liverpool lost 4 and dropped another 18 points in draws.

That's all academic, though - I think it'll be a long season of disappointment for anybody who genuinely thinks that we can fight for the title?

Might be better to set more realistic goals this time around.

We lose this game and we will be 4 points behind a team that people on here take the piss out of, I hate the rags with a passion, I hate derbies, but if we lose this game then seriois questions need to be asked, that would be 3 defeats in 4 games, if that were the rags or dippers we would be doing a save who ever campaign
And we play Arsenal at the Emirates after this. Four losses in a row is a real possibility.

The only thing I am fearful of is seeing the right back stood alongside Rodri in midfield, while the left back is on the edge of their box and we get caught on the break again. Stick Nico in there with Rodri please Pep.

Based on availability I’d want too see

Donnarumma; Khusanov Dias Gvardiol Ake; Rodri Nico G Reijnders; Bobb Doku Haaland

Every single potential 11 I've seen on here just looks so 'meh' - I really don't know what the answer is, but we have fallen so heavily behind Liverpool
You sound very spoilt. Most of the potential 11s on here should easily dispatch this Man U team. The Arsenal game is potentially more difficult.

But we’ve still got probably the best goalkeeper, CDM and striker in the world.
Stones Dias and Gvardiol would walk into most teams.

That’s a real spine.

Wingers and 8s could be stronger. But we’ve got 2 young developing players on the wings and the best player in Serie A last season as one of the 8s.

Right back there is a big hole. But we could use a Centre Back there like we did in the Treble season.

How many Liverpool players would be guaranteed starters at City? VVD (34) (I'd rather have Gvardiol who will soon be better, even if only because VVD is oldish, but if you prefer VVD then move Gvardiol to LB where he isn't inferior to Kerkes), Salah (33), Wirtz (hasn't shown yet he deserves to start ahead of Reijnders or Foden), McAllister.

Wouldn't have Alisson over Donna, Konate over Stones/Dias/Khusa, Gakpo over Doku/Marmoush, Gravenberch over Rodri, Isak over Haaland. A combined XI would arguably have more City players, say, 6 to 5.
