I don't see how we don't give them half a dozen massive chances, the only questions is do they take them and it's hard to imagine they wont take most and the other question is how many can we get in return, not sure anybody who has watched us play over the last few minutes would be confident of us outscoring anybody right now, we'd have to actually create multiple chances.

Can't help but feel this could be a really ugly day for us. Is there any storms due? Can we get it called off?

Thing is we're not getting any luck whatsoever, you know like Cucurella slipping twice and gifting the opposition two goals, I'll bet Onana is going to be like Lev Yashin on Sunday after his typical clown show against Forest.

We are also not earning any luck. We'd have to put on a press and be somewhat near the ball to capitalise on a slip, and even if we got it, we wouldn't drive towards goal and put a cross in to score, the first thing we would do is go backwards and allow the opposition to recover every player behind the ball before making a forward pass from defence.

I would prefer Walker to sit this one out bit looks like we don't have any other option.

Stones and Ake won't be fit, Rico is suspended.

Unless he goes with Dias, Akanji and Gvardiol as a back three an uses Nunes as the inverted full back role which has been done before. Not ideal really.

Yes I mentioned that in the Juve game thread, you're right there is more chance of the ball going back to Ederson than the opposition box.

this important not because its a derby but because Aston Villa away is up next and thats imo a loss easily. we lost there last season and was completely dominated. and Villa did not drop as much as I though the extra CL campaign will set them back, on the contrary doing very well in CL too.

draw or lose this with a Villa loss after that and even Chelsea could 8-10 points head of us. dippers 13-14. while likes of Brighton, Villa, can get front of us.


thank God Spurs, Barcodes, rags are all having their own shit season as if any of them had a decent year we would be struggling to hang onto top4. maybe. right now it looks like we need to better than Villa, Forest, Brighton to get 4th at least.
if we cannot even do that well, dont know what can explain that, nothing really.
