United Home League Cup Tickets

If we want bigger crowds we need a bigger fan base, and it’s hard to attract new UK fans when we get such appalling tv, radio and written media shit thrown at us. It’s surely time the club started to fight back (not with flares at peoples homes I should add) and put these media clowns straight and stand up for the history of the club and it’s brilliant fans. Put Gary James in on the press conferences not Vicky kloss, for a start

Totally agree and we know who is orchestrating this media attack, it's the clubs with the most to lose.

I think that’s a lame excuse. You only need to have been to 3 previous games in the last few years. All those thousands you mention- your honestly saying that they have no points and have never bought a few tickets off the website or the ground?

you can buy tickets for tomorrow online/ Facebook aswell

most fans buy tickets from the website or the ground anyway.

I think the reality is our core fan base is about 45,000.
City have over 40,000 season-ticket holders. We have about 48k going tomorrow according to some estimates/reports and I am pretty confident that there are a lot of long distance seasoncard holders who wont be going tomorrow so I'd put it at a lot more than that.

I agree with your point about the eligibility.

I was disappointed that the game has not sold out but on reflection I think the point that Gary James made about 48k blues attending a Cup game is a good one. We get put on the defensive too much over the Emptihad stuff.

Most of the people who use those pages will be able to meet the criteria but loads don’t. Why don’t you go and have a read through the FB pages before giving an uninformed opinion?

I dont meet the crireria as i wont pay for a membership card and wont pay £50 plus for a ticket .My mate got me one for Sunday and one for the rags otherwise i wouldnt have gone

One bad attendance in the FA Cup and mass hysteria ensues haha!!!. How can we get bigger crowds is the cry....we can't do much better as our league games are selling out this season and we are also getting 50,000+ crowds in the group stages of the CL against weak opposition....the Real Madrid game is also already sold out. There are so many posts on this...settle down people.

Don't know why the club put the Madrid tickets on sale so early. Forcing non cup scheme members to shell out way in advance of the game. I'm in the cup scheme and I bet the money won't go out for ages. The early sale of the Madrid tickets will definitely have had an adverse effect on the ticket sales for the Derby and for Fulham. A lot of people will have had to make a choice on which to go to. Madrid tickets could have gone on sale at the end of February which is after another payday for most
Totally agree no need for the Madrid tickets to have gone on sale till tomorrow. City shot themselves in the foot with this one.

Spot on.

It's the all consuming hysteria and panic at the club to get money of the fans ASAP.

And the fact that it's a 2nd leg match, with the 1st leg result possibly affecting ticket sales afterwards.

Expect it to be repeated again if the tickets stars line up for the next rounds of the CL and FA Cup.

Dosnt even make sense from a work load perspective to have the ticket office try to deal with 3 ticketed games when hopefully the next thing they have to do is sort out the cc final
