United (N) | FA Cup Final | Post-Match Thread

TAKE THAT YOU CHEATING FUCKING CUNTS — both the rags and the officials!

I didn't want to type in the match-day thread today was 100% watching the match, but did anyone else notice: half-way through 2nd half Man Utd. were having a really good spell, there should have been a drinks break but if there was I didn't see it. You can't tell me it got colder in just one hour mid-afternoon....

Utd gave us a game, with thanks to a spawny pen. It turns out that was good as they could hope for, given that despite tiredness and nerves (big time) plenty of City players displayed resiliance and quality. The manager knows what he's doing tactically. Good. A good test to come through. Thought Walker was really excellent in the second half. There was a moment when he misplaced a pass and as a team we looked well off course. Next thing you know, he's bouncing back, dragging the ball this way and that. Excellent stuff. Stones was good in the same way but missing the nous with what to do with the pass didn't help. Phil made a huge difference at the end.

That just felt like a test we overcame - I don't feel much like celebrating. That treble weighed heavily on my mind throughout the second half game. Maybe this will prove to be the harder game for that reason.

He’s an encyclopedia of football.
