How we've left ourselves, or alternatively how Pep has decided, to play 2 midfielders at FB is astounding. One "inverted" (whatever that means) FB was OK for a time - these days teams have worked out a system for it and it just leads to a congested midfield with nowhere to go imho

Gave it to Ruben Dias ..... after his first minute booking, he got his act together and marshalled the City defence well.

Could just have easily given it Nunes though, who probably had his best game in a City shirt.

Not sure that Rodri coming back will improve us that much. There is such a lack of creativity in the current side and with Kev going it’s only going to be worse. We never look like scoring today and United defense probably had their easiest game this season. As far as Motm I thought Nunes had his best game for us and Ruben was solid in defence.

Dias for playing 90 minutes on a yellow. Nunes had a good game. I thought this game was made for Doku when he came on but he had an awful game, just couldn’t make a pass today.

If Dias doesn’t play we don’t win that game, his organisation is the key, lots you don’t see. Nunes not fucking up is the reason people think he played well. He did ok.I will never trust a thick footballer though. Pep’s comments post match about him not being a very clever footballer and that he can’t play midfield as he has no composure are frightening. We paid £53m for a midfielder. £53m. And he actually can’t play that position in this team.
