United Post Match Thread

Rags looked shite to me but we made em look good, we are blown as a team and look like a team in relegation trouble, thank fuck for those first five games coz if you take them points away we would of had a real shocker.
.

Our form suggests we are a relegation team. Since DeBruyne left, we have 7 points from 7 games.

Last few games Hart's distribution has been atrocious. Never fails to find an opposition player with his long kicks. Could he be under threat too?

See how the seeds of doubt are sown with Pep on the horizon.
According to a source on talksport, there's a whisper that Pep wants a new keeper!

Kun said we have to win the Derby I'm afraid now it's gone players know it and the fans exspect it. What a messed up opportunity. Can't help feel the anouncment from Pellegrini has sabotaged our top four chances.we should cut our losses in the international break then we may have an outside chance.

Your in denial , like Pellegrini in a nightclub full of fanny flashing his coaching badges around .

Fuck me, are you related to him?

Or just his fucking carer?
Quote any post or mine from last night that had me bigging pellers up.
Go on off you pop, report back to me with your findings.
Cheers

So what you are saying is pellers has sat the squad down and said "right lads, the owners are getting rid of me. What I want you all to do is to play absolute garbo, really look like you couldn't give two fuck's. ."
Really? Fuckin really?
Me and 55000 other City fans did, not to mention those not there in person I imagjne.

Obviously you're easily pleased, have low expectations in life and mediocrity is fine by you, which I'm cool with. Each to their own eh?
Fuck me sorry doctor. Can you guess what I'm thinking now?
I'll give you a clue. Something to do with beer, benefits and a Monday club.
Go on son, amaze me.

The team look demotivated by a demotivated manager, who will repeat selection mistakes again and again because he probably doesn't give a fuck. Injuries to leaders on the pitch don't help, but all of us knew when we saw Demichellis's name on the team sheet that we had a disaster on the cards, so why did Pellegrini select him? We all knew when Bony came on that he'd contribute nothing, so why did Pellegrini bring him on? The results we've had tell their own story. Top 4 looks unlikely and if we don't make it, we will be put back at least 3 years. Personally, I'd have sacked Pellegrini after we got dicked at OT last year and we are paying the price for not doing that.

He's very much under threat. His distribution is woeful and this aspect of our game was improved considerably when Willie came on. Not saying he is the answer but there's a good keeper in there somewhere and it will be good to see how he copes with a run in the team. He has also started to punch the ball a lot ore than he used to and more than other keepers do which irks me as lots are there for the taking. I think he may be a victim of the new manager.

Yeah Hart against one on ones he's one of the best goalies out there but catching and distribution of the ball is pitiful.

get rid of pelligrini now. dont let bony near the team, never play demichelis unless sagna zaba and mangala are all out injured, imo the rest of your rant is over the top again imo

so if we are going to plan and build a squad for winning the champions league and premier league how can most of this squad be in it they are way off and not good enough. yes demichelis sagna mangala Kolarov must move on just not done it Kompany is also not the answer long term you can not build a defence unit if he's out most of the time. Bony is shocking and never in a million years a top 4 player and Swansea is his level we only have aguero all season and he's been out for long spells. Yaya finnish sliva looks lost delph another player out for most of the season are they the answers for pep I don't think so

we need a new back 4 and 4 midfield players and 3 new strikers thats just to add to the squad that pep will be left with after the clean out. what is coming from the youth setup not much at the moment Iheanacho is going to need a very good pre season and then will be 4th choice when the new strikers come in. this is before we kick off next season and then it will be all over the place with new backroom staff settling in and the euro's in the summer means players come back late and miss pre season. if we do finnish 4th that means a play off game early season and could be a hard away trip to anywhere

the last day of the season for me is the start of the new season work must be done fast if not already. plans must have been set by the club players must have been talked to and agents meetings the club it must be sorted out before the euro's with players so pep can have the best chance

might be going against the grain here but i actually think there were far more problems going forward than at the back yesterday,

yes MDM had a shocker and yes Fernando/Fenandinho would have done a better job at centre half but we restricted them to very few chances, one of which they took. I think there were more problems with the ineffective attack and the 3 shots on target (of 26). we had enough attacking possession to score a couple but fecked it up.

I cannot think of a game under Mancini where we got hammered more than say 2-0, if there is one I stand corrected.

The purchases made under Mancini were in the main very good. We built a robust and winning side with both guts and flair.

I blame higher management for all of what has happened to the brilliant work built by Mancini.

In any organisation there are sometimes problems between managers and workers. It is then that directors get involved.

I'm sure that the directors could see the great work that Mancini was achieving on the pitch ( where it counts ) I'm sure the directors were aware that he was a terrible man manager with an explosive manner that was upsetting people at all levels.

This could of been resolved if the directors were good enough at their jobs.

The directors take the easier route and hired a complete baffoon. We are worse than we were under Hughes. The baffoon has taken the project right back to it's beginning. In fact Mark Hughes brought in players that played huge parts in our recent success and actually had a game plan for each individual match and is proving that he can manage at Stoke.

This baffoon is a joke and the directors have failed Manchester City by not seeing through his failings two years ago.

It was the luckiest double you will ever see. Liverpool bottled it, the game at Anfield we lost and after that they imploded. The cup final it was two world class strikes that turned the game around, not any managerial decisions.

Our recent signings under this prat have been poor. He can go now for me, pay him up just get rid.

Our current form is worse than relegation, we cannot make top 4, we are in free fall and people on here have been saying it for weeks !

I sat in the fence thinking surely we must make top 4, even Mr Baffoon can get this squad to finish higher than 5th.

Well after yesterday I don't think he can. Playing MDM against two young flying kids ??? Wilfrid Bony ????

If we get any further in the Champions league and get Barca in the semis I can see a real hammering in the cards.

Wake me up in June

Can't disagree with any of that.

We could have won that 3-1 yesterday with the chances we had. I can't work out whether there is a genuine lack of desire within the mentality of some of the players or what. I am still sticking in the camp that thinks on too many occasions IT just isn't clicking. Whatever IT isPellers often sets up and we are disadvantaged straight away. With Yaya back in his usual position it was a blessing that MANUre were so poor or we would have been over-run again.

We had chances, Aguero's header being the best but you can't say we exactly opened them up. Now I know they sat back after the goal but still. There's one reason we lost that match yesterday and that was our work ethic, work off the ball and lack of pressing in the first half. We let United walk into our final third. Mata's pass to rashford wasn't creative, it was a straight pass from central midfield into the feet of the attacker. None of our midfielders tried to close down matter. None were tracking back to cover our defence if rashford beat one of them, even with Demi's awful mistake it was a goal that could have so easily been avoided.
