I like the US, it's a great place to visit, portions are huge and the shopping is great and in general the people are really nice too.
What I can't udnerstand is the terrible mainstream news which is either propaganda or absolute trivial crap, the crazy liberal gun laws that allow people and children to shoot and kill each other almost weekly. And what the hell is the preoccupation with the stars and stripes? its fairly crazy, the whole 'freedom ain't free' brigade. I was in an airport terminal a couple of weeks back in Ft. Lauderdale and a couple of troops in uniform were walking through the terminal, hundreds of people started clapping and whooping and chanting USA, USA!! Honestly it was a little bit cringe worthy.
Europe is the place to be in my book. Nicest spot in Europe? Switzerland! (imho)

I was watching the Boston marathon the other week as it goes through my town. Everyone just gets the deck chairs out, sits around with loads of food and drink and watches it all go by.
Before the runners came through, the Cops in their cars drove slowly by and everyone (bar me) was clapping like mad!
I said to the bloke next to me ''if this was England, we'd be egging them!!''

been to new york,vegas,grand canyon,scottsdale,,san diego,la and san francisco and had a great time, felt safer in these places than i would in london, fancy going to chicago and new england
its such a big place and certain parts are as bad as anywhere on the planet, cant think of anywhere else where the difference between rich and poor is so vast

Chicago is great but go in summer, it gets so bitterly cold in winter you can't enjoy it.
Also go to Austin, best place in America imo.
