United States Of America

If anyone does go to Niagara on the Lake (which is a nice town), you have to try the jet boats... http://www.whirlpooljet.com/ Outside of watching City, some of the most fun I can remember.

Ive been living in the US for 22 years in Florida
this state has become a third world country
In the South ,where I live ,its become a cesspool
If you can put up with the Lack of class & low intelligence ,you'll love it here
Tho, don't expect to get a job unless you speak "Spicaneese"
Most Americans have not realised yet that this Country as a world power is over
They have All been raised to think this Country is the place to be
Maybe 20 years ago, when I came ,it may have been
But the problem here is deep rooted
They are ALL liars, Cheats & cannot be trusted.......Its the American Way
Look at the Politicians,Lawyers & Bankers.......All garbage people
Unfortunatly for most of US ,There's Nowhere to Run Too Now.
But on the upside ,If you Speak like I do, Im from North London,You need Never be single...
The women Love English Men..........

Thats a nice poem.

Emigrated there years ago and i love living there. Settled in Missouri which is perfect for us as i like green and textured land, we like the outdoor life. Traveled around Texas, Florida, Arkansas, Louisiana, Tennessee, Illinois and lived in a few places, small towns and close to big cities, much prefer the rural towns. Never been to New York or Vegas, not arsed ether, they do not appeal. Did Orlando for a while, great climate but it was too flat for me and too many tourists. Have met a lot of really good, hard working, generous people and have met some knobs too. Have been back here for a while but i cant wait to get back at the end of this year, i would really struggle having to live here permanent again now.

Where in Missouri mate? I lived in Fredericktown for 7 years, aged 9-16.

Moved there when Mum re-married, he was in the US Navy

Abolutely loved it, even if it left me slightly adrift mentally when I came back to England, the schooling wasn't great.

But it shaped the my love of sport that I have to day, by that I mean doing, not watching. Every day was basketball, followed by football(American football) track and baseball but I was bobbins at that particular sport. I was even cack at T- Ball.

A couple of places, have family west of Fredericktown in a small place called Licking south of Rolla and we lived there for a while. Population round 1,200, if ya add the inmates from the prison on the outskirts of town its around 3,000. Lived in Fenton and then Arnold just outside of St.Louis.

Will be moving up to near Columbia when we go back which is gonna be great as we like to follow Mizzou college teams. May even take up watching the MLS as its not far to KC and since "Sporting KC" play in light blue, although it would be a very poor substitute to watching City.

That bit is simply wrong because
1) Most Americans dont know what is outside America
2)It still very much is a world super power

I doubt with my political affiliations i would get a visa to go to the god awful centre of neo-liberalist far right bullshit.

Any modern country that does not believe that healthcare should be the right of all its citizens is truly fucked up.

Saying that if Gettysburg wasnt in the USA i would visit :)

"I like that bunker"

Red Shrek (not rooney)

I've been to the good old USA 5 times. It's enough.

The geography is amazing in places, but the society is a facade. Scratch the surface and there's nothing there. It's as real as TV because it's the same thing - all production, direction and image management.

I will probably have to go Boston in November. I'm not looking forward to it.

Well they let me in, so I think you'll be OK too ;)

I haven't seen anyone of that description in the 10 months I've been here.
Having said that, had a couple of comments aimed at me when I was walking down the steps to my seat for last nights New England Revolution game - my crime was doing so (purposely) during the National Anthem ;)
