Depends. As the last one was front loaded then the money has already run out from the Aon deal even though there are two years left.

Looks more like a find who will pay us (a large proportion) now for a sponsor deal that starts in two years because if the scum had no shirt revenue in the next accounts they will probably have to postpone their begging IPO for the second no wait third hang on fourth fucking time.

Tick tock cunts.

not surprised with the Chevrolet thing but wonder how it works with them also being in partnership with Liverpool? - i guess that Liverpool would have to not be involved with Chevrolet in 2014 onwards if there is some sort of rule on sponsorship for different teams but the same company?

Chevrolet: History of horrid debt, merchandise looks good on the outside but barely above average and no resale value.

Perfect fit for UTD

Absolutely. For those of us old enough to remember, this is the equivalent of being sponsored by British Leyland.

The thing is, the guy who set this all up, Joel Ewanick, has been sacked with immediate effect. I wouldn't be surprised if they cancel the deal on the grounds of gross and illegal misconduct by an employee. I will stand corrected if this is not possible, but if it is and it happens,,well holy *hit!

If you look on Sky Sports teletext they say they have 659 million fans worldwide.

Man Utd gets Chevrolet as new shirt sponsor Chevrolet is also the official car partner of the Premier League runners-up Continue reading the main story

Manchester United has signed a new deal to have its shirts sponsored by US car brand Chevrolet.

The deal for an "undisclosed amount" is for seven years and begins from the 2014-2015 season, the club said.

Chevrolet, which is made by General Motors, takes over from current sponsor Aon.

Manchester United was recently called the most valuable club in sport, worth $2.23bn (£1.43bn), according to Forbes magazine.

Chevrolet is only the fifth shirt sponsor in the club's history.

"This is a fantastic, long-term deal for the club," said Manchester United's commercial director Richard Arnold.

"They are a key partner on our current tour and I know they have enjoyed experiencing the buzz generated by our fanatical support and the sell-out crowds in South Africa, China, and Europe."

Earlier this month Manchester United applied to list on the US stock market in a share sale aimed at raising a minimum $100m (£64m).

The club has been controlled since 2005 by the Glazer family, the billionaire US sports investors who also own the Tampa Bay Buccaneers American football franchise.

Chevrolet though have sacked the marketing man who brokered the deal with rags. (purely co incidental).

Exactly Rammy, can they cancel this part of the deal?

Apparently he was fired for pulling out of an advertising deal with Facebook, and for refusing to advertise during the Super-Bowl, which is a tradition for these American companies..

Don't think this deal will be affected, but they will certainly a look at it as part of their organizational re-structuring..

Fergie was hoping for De Lorean, he wants to go back to the future.

Well we better hope that deal fall's apart, its looking like giving them the best part of £55m a year...

Given that as a benchmark, the nike deal is up soon to..

Makes the numbers suggested on the etihad deal look small time
