Do you honestly believe that or just spinning a line?

Also worth bearing in mind that Fergie will try to use last season's "bottle job" to motivate the players this time round...
It'll be interesting to see those who have no experience of winning the title, especially those who only have the experience of screwing it up, react when the pressure really hits. Evra, Ferdinaand, Rooney etc will have no problems, however Jones, Young, even RVP to a lesser degree have no title winning experience to fall back on, and the first two of those have crushing defeat/failure as their overriding experience. RVP, albeit an experienced 29 year old, has 1 UEFA Cup with Feyenoord (when he was a teenager and barely played) and 1 FA Cup with Arsenal (from 7 years ago) as his only honours, so hardly brimming with trophy winning experience.
A very valid point and I reckon one of the main reasons why he's been so keen to keep Giggs n Scholes around for the last season or so......just having them around the dressing room, with all their experience, should be beneficial to the more inexperienced members of the squad.
just like last season

Maybe you should be more concerned with Wigan away and Everton at home seeing as they cost you a T-Shirt with a No 20 on it last season.
maybe I should but I'm still reasonably happy with the season to date..

Whilst he/they didn't pull it off last season mate I think it's still prudent and valid purely on the grounds that they've (Scholes/Giggs) had that vital experience of knowing what failure is like, and still coming out of the other side, and the type of mindset that requires, 'Bouncing back', it's that that I think he's looking to tap into this season, if they weren't around that's a hell of a lot of experience they'd lose out on imo.

To add to that it's why I think Vieira's input shouldn't be under-estimated into our recent success, same kind of thing if you catch my drift ?

He hasn't kept the old codgers to help, out with some mythical experience pill
He's kept them on because they didnt strengthen the part of the team that needed it most

Well I guess we'll have to agree to disagree on this one mostly Squirty, which is fine mate :-), for me, if they had have strengthened the midfield then I still think they would have been around the club and training in some capacity (again like we utilized Vieira), but a big indication as I see it is how he uses them in tight games, like yesterday, to get them 'over the line' so to speak, that's not to say he doesn't fuck up royally with it at times though.

I see what you mean, I just think they have lost the ability to get them over the line
Everything eventually comes to an end
