They would have to replicate our form of 2004/05 to stand a chance now. I don't think they'll even overturn Spurs or Everton, let alone Liverpool.
They're crap. You can't go from crap to top 4 form at the click of a finger. I'm desperate to see them playing on Thursdays but I don't think they'll make it.

Here's the beauty of it. Top 4 is likely to be City, Chelsea, Arsenal and Liverpool - and likely to stay like that for the foreseeable future. The old "Sky 4" was United, Chelsea, Arsenal and Liverpool. So City has effectively replaced United in the cartel.

Wonder if they will still refer to it as the "top 4" or will they refer to it as a "top 5" to please rags?

'Top 7'?

It was looking like a great top 4 battle in the beginning but I can see those 4 pulling away easily now, and Liverpool will get better being back in the CL. It'll be incredibly difficult for Everton, Spurs or United to break back in unless the Glazers spend a lot of money to do it. Like the sort of money we both spent in the beginning. Doesn't seem realistic.

In the grand scheme of things though, you can't /won't take away 20 titles ,3 European cups ,2 world champions. Done it bin it ,sn it.
Actually it makes a nice change.
You've morphed in to a scouser. Looking forward to the past.

There are 2 differences between them and the scousers:-

1 People across the country respected the Liverpool teams of the 70s & 80s.
I'll openly admit I stuck up for the scousers in their various European Finals.

2 I wouldn't be too sure that some of those 20 titles aren't taken away when the
full truth about "the Fergie years" comes out.

Do you think that they'll just refer to us as "Manchester" and hope nobody notices?

I supported the dippers in those finals too, mate. Times have changed, and not for the better (and a lot of it is down to that fella in your second point).
