Remember, we've always been told that United don't buy success, they nurture success through their training academy. ;-)

Let's see if Davy keeps this tradition going under his tenure.

To date.

Marouane Fellaini - £27mill
Juan Mata - £37mill

The next player off the United training academy production line?

Absolute bollocks.

Carvhalo will have the cream of Europe sniffing his batty.

Utd would be first club to get 'followed through' on.

No CL football?? no chance.
You don't think the moyesy factor would come into it then?

So, as united clearly won't be playing CL football next season, he'll be branded a mercenary by united fans as robinho, tevez etc we're when we weren't in champions league?

However if true ....this is worrying...............

However, if not true... :

<a class="postlink" href="http://www.givemesport.com/445763-manchester-city-still-chasing-united-target-william-carvalho?autoplay=on" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://www.givemesport.com/445763-manch ... utoplay=on</a>

Manchester City are set to join local rivals Manchester United in the race to sign William Carvalho from Sporting Lisbon, reports Goal.

Reports emerged on Sunday morning that Manchester United had agreed to meet the 21-year-old's £37m release clause and would sign him before the World Cup gets underway on June 12. Carvalho was set to become the first of a number of major additions to arrive at Old Trafford this summer.

However, no firm agreement is in place and Manchester City are set to offer Carvalho an alternative to working under David Moyes. Unlike at Old Trafford, the Etihad is likely to play host to Champions League football next season and a more realistic chance of silverware as well.

Manuel Pellegrini is an admirer of the defensive midfielder and has dispatched scouts to watch him play in Portugal several times this month. They know United already hold an advanced interest in the player, but Manchester City have now registered their own interest with Sporting Lisbon.

City’s director of football Txiki Begiristain has been told by the Portuguese outfit that they are willing to accept a fee of £32.5m for the player, which goes against reports that Manchester United will pay the full £37m.

The extra money won't worry David Moyes, however, who has reportedly been given as much as £180m to spend on reinforcements this summer. With City struggling to fall in line with Uefa's financial fair play laws, they may not be able to compete with Manchester Untied on a financial front this summer.

Before moving for Carvalho, Pellegrini will focus on his main transfer targets Eliaquim Mangala and Fernando. While Pellegrini would love to add Carvalho to his line-up the Citizens remain well stocked in midfield while the defence remains fragile.

City may not be able to compete financially due to FFP? Ahh of course silly me - the scum have exemption now coz they don´t have CL cash next season

After the going to the match yesterday went to the usual pub in town just in time to see Wooney score the greatest goal of the last three centuries and there was the token rag celebrating. 'Brilliant' I said "To be fair you need a good result today to help you cement 7th"

He didn't seem so enthusiastic after that, don't know why.

In the pub yesterday just after rooney's 1st goal, it shown the replay of it.
A thick rag stood near me shouted "He's done it again"
Was genuine!

Fucking thick twats.

According to that, there's about 11 seats left and most of them are single seats. Not really that bad.

It's been on general sale for a few days I think, had some random scum fan on Friday night in a bar telling me he was an ex season ticket holder and could have got general sale tickets last week but as he was shitting it so didn't want to.

Just had a look now and it's nearly a sell out. I'm strongly considering getting two and sitting with the filth... problem is I don't think I could keep my mouth shut for 90mins! 53 quid a ticket.
I'd say it's not worth it. Yes you'll be there, but what's the point when you can't really enjoy it.

Yeah decided against it... couldn't pay 106 quid for two tickets and sit there in quiet for the whole game!

Great goal but it the way the BBC had gone on about it I was expecting something out of this world.

Much preferred Suarez's goal against Norwich

It will just be another video they like showing off on MOTD intro reel

United's tickets for the derby are on open sale.

Bollocks, everyone knows that rags games sell out years in advance and it is impossible for plastics up and down the land sat in pubs to get tickets.

Correct.

Half a dozen left on open sale when I checked earlier. Anyone thinking of getting one needs to be aware that they will have to pay £32 for a membership as well so it suddenly makes a £53 ticket £85. There was one up in the gods at £37 though. Was thinking of being the ultimate bitter blue **** and sticking those half dozen tickets in my basket for hours on end so no Rags can snap them up!
