Gayers is better than Pantilimon.

Rafael is better than Zabaleta.
Vidic is better than Demichelis.

Kagawa is better than Nasri.
Carrick is better than Fernandinho.

Rooney is better than Negredo.
RVP is better than Aguero.

and 9th is better than third.
Half of that list is not absurd at all.
Zabaleta is better than Rafael, but Zabaleta is easily the best right back in the league and a world class right back. I had my doubts about him, but I was completely wrong. Rafael is probably the second best right back.

Nasri is better than Kagawa though both have similar personalities.

Fernandinho has settled in very quickly and proven to be better than Carrick. I am surprised Fernandinho has been so good so quickly.

Would actually agree with the rest.

Moyes is doing a horrific job, but there's still too much quality in that squad to finish any lower than fifth. The media keep driving home the point that Fergie left a weak team behind, but it's not true. He left behind a weak midfield. Moyes signs Gustavo, Moutinho, Fernandinho and they would have been second favourites after City. Even with the Feillani signing they should have been around the same level as Chelsea. Moyes won't get any criticism from the media no matter what he does and with Ferguson backing his corner he should get another 12 months. United are far from gone, but if Moyes is in charge of the spending then they could realistically drop into the same level as Arsenal for the last 8 years or so.

This from ragissue:-

We're fucked...now begins the downfall

We won't sign anyone of significance in Jan...Moyes will probably get Baines and think everything is rosey
We won't make top 4, this squad is not good enough to make top 4, when an erratic bumbling centre back is currently your best midfielder you've got problems
No top 4 = big players won't come, big players will leave (bye Rooney, DDG) money available will be reduced (we barely manage the debt now competing in all comps and winning stuff)

As I said, we're fucked, just enjoy Moyes ride of mediocrity

Its reported today - Moyes : " the money is there to make significant signings - just might not make any deals in January " - so begins the ritual deception of the delusional over at the swamp. However either coz they have heard it once too often or it isn't coming from Sir Baconface's mouth it looks like its no longer to be believed. There's something rotten in the state of the swamp me thinks

No point arguing over it, but it's a close one. The others like Vidic>Demichelis, De Gea>Hart or Rooney>Negredo are not so debatable. It does not matter much, because City have the best team and squad in the league. However, the United squad is not this joke that the media are trying to tell us. The sole reason they are saying that is to take the pressure off Moyes. United and Chelsea aren't too different when it comes to quality. The difference is the manager. Moyes even had the opportunity to fix their biggest area of concern. Say a Fernandinho/Carrick or a Gustavo/Carrick partnership would have pushed them just behind City.

Really doesn't matter if x is better than y. As Baconface showed, you can have some quite mediocre players but it's the way they play as a team which matters.
Also bully the ref for a few extra poins will help as well.

I shall elaborate.

If i were offered both players i would take Aguero every day.

He works harder has just as good if not better movement, gets injured less, links up better with others.
He is the superior player imo, you could make the case for RVP being better getting on the end of crosses.
That said Aguero's volley yesterday was not to bad was it :)

The point i should highlight is his link up play, this helps a squad so much and i feel it is showing this season a lot.
Ok RVP is injured now but even with that.

I don't see the logic in the above. If there is a media agenda as many believe and Moyes is perceived inept, wouldn't they want to crank up the pressure and get him out of there? Baconface won them 9 points a season through inspirational subs and tactics, he probably won the same amount through intimidation of the officials. RVP's goal vs Newcastle two weeks ago stands if old purple nose was in charge. I agree Moyes is underachieving with an ok side ( midfield aside ) just don't see why the media with an agenda would want to prolong this?
