They have to keep him, they would get about £5 million for him and can't afford to replace him. They are absolutely fucked.

If they fail to get CL football next season I can see De Gea, RVP, Rooney and Hernandez handing in requests to leave, plus they will sign absolutely nobody due to players wanting CL. Can they actually afford to spend cash knowing full well they might miss out on the CL money?

Could they fall foul of FFP?

Interesting on Smalling and Jones. I'd expect them two to be United future CB pairing. I quite rate Jones at centre back and wish for England's sake that United would stop fucking him around and playing him at RB and in midfield. Kid needs to learn his trade in one position and he could long term be that CB that carries the ball out of defence as is the rage now.
