It's an utter myth that Moyes got rid of the backroom staff.

He immediately offered both Multensteen and Phelan new positions within the new first-team staff and instead they negotiated pay-offs of £2m and £1.5m, which were published in the most recent accounts.

They both wanted to take the money and run and wanted to take their chances.

Guess who it was who said Moyes could take them or leave them.

That's right, old baconface.

For the record, United can't afford to sack him on two points.

One, there is absolutely noboby out there. Those who were interested, previously, have aligned themselves elsewhere or been scared away by the size of the task and the paucity of the squad.

Moyes would walk away with about £15m in change and the rest until he gained employment elsewhere.

I've got a rag season ticket holder who sits opposite me, and I've overheard him on the phone today to another rag saying he would rather "bow out gracefully" in the second leg of the Capital 1 cup against Sunderland then actually get to the final because "them lot would f*cking murder us in the final."

Great work Davey, I used to hate him with a passion but seem to be really warming to him.

I suggested this a few days ago on here.

Neither the players or the fans have got any balls. Even when we were really shit we'd all up our game for the rags and put some effort on.

These tossers are just chickenshits. It won't take the spineless ones long to stop travelling up the motorway and the empty seats will be everywhere in no time at all.
